Majorette restoration Citroen DS No 13. Diecast model

I present the first model of the French company Majorette that I renew. I got it quite a long time ago from a friend in Belgium, but I searched the Internet for a long time. I needed good photos to make a copy. The video is subtitled in multiple languages. For subtitles in your language at the bottom of the movie press C on computer or three dots on mobile in video.
The Citroen DS model has been painted many times. The original paint is preserved on the underside. It turned out to be identical to the Lesney Ferrari Berlinetta from the 1960s. My model had cracked original wheels. I made a silicone mold and cast black-colored resin wheels. I also made the two missing hubcaps and a copy of the box according to the original. Majorette
I had many Majorettes as kid in very early 90s.
They always had more openings, more striking colors than Matchbox and some of them had clear headlights.
Not quiet the quality of Matchbox but many of them were my favorites too.

The DS19. Possibly one of the coolest cars ever. If not THE coolest. When first presented at a motorshow, it was mounted on a revolving plinth, and was displayed without wheels, so as not to spoil it's revolutionary lines.

Cool. Your doing my favorite French car, Citroen. What was wrong with the tires and axles ? I see your missing some of the wheels( hubcaps). That Green , looks like Emerald Green. A Metallic.

I agree with you. I had a lot of Matchbox, Husky and Majorette. But the Majorette models were definately of a lesser quality with weak parts and gaps.

matchboxy były chyba jednak precyzyjniej wykonane. Choć majorette miała całkiem fajne auta w katalogu, między innymi ten DS, Talbot 1510, czy Alpine... Świetna robota!

Utilizo un abrillantador de PVC. la que ahora es visible en la empresa es la producción española de Gauzy Coast. Sin embargo, el pulido con pasta para faros de coche Sonax ofrece los mismos buenos resultados. Los mejores deseos

This liquid rubber you are talking about is molding polyurethane. Certainly in Chile it is possible to buy molds for casting concrete cubes. Kind regards

In this Citroen model, I made hard wheels and cast them from polyurethane resin dyed with black dye. Trade name for this FC 52 resin
