Been looking forward to this video since you picked this piece up. Wonderful job on the bumper repair and the restoration came out beautiful. Thanks for sharing
A corvette has been my daily use car since 2001, so I am very partial to them. Thank you kindly for restoring this one. Impeccable job as usual. Peace and blessings to you and your family.
Paul the miracle worker! What a piece of junk and now the bumpers repaired and even the windows look fantastic. I noticed you examining the engine insert. Yes, the intake trumpets cant inwards like that -- it's the natural angle of the intake ports on the small-block V-8 without an intake manifold. That would have been an expensive car in real life -- it's an original 1963 C2 Corvette Sting Ray coupe, with the split rear window. Bravo!
Piękna renowacja, zwłaszcza, że model był wyjątkowo zdewastowany. Wydaje mi się, że bez tych fabrycznych, infantylnych kalkomanii wyglądał atrakcyjniej. Pozdrawiam.
This channel is fascinating. The spirit of perfection and expertise are a pure joy to watch, a source of inspiration for a much larger audience than model builders only. Respect to your quest of excellence and gratitude for your content.
This is one of your flea markets finds that I really wanted to see build...and I knew you were going to do a fantastic job on it ... It looks great, Paul 😁👍
Absolutely beautiful, Paul. Such nice work on this one! I just finished a '63 split window Corvette Sting Ray myself. They're gorgeous classics, in my opinion. 🍁👍
I used to restore them, even put wind-up Motors ,electric motors and Rockets and race them down the hill on our track when my kids were young. I still have so many of them in storage boxes outside in the weather
Very interesting model , I didn’t know much about Mettoy because Corgi is so famous. Mettoy (= metal toys ) was founded in Britain in 34 by 2 germans Ullmann and Katz fleeing the regime . In 54 they founded a factory in Wales to produce their Corgi toys range . They picked up the name Corgi some say because it was the local breed of dogs but another version says its because Corgis were the favorite dogs of the Queen. Their 56 models were the first with rubber tyres and plastic windows. The Mettoy range was close to the early Meccano’s and their models ( planes , cars , airports, bikes ) are amaizing for these times
Brilliant job. Have you ever thought about applying the decals before the lacquer coat is put on? That way the decals would be protected too. It's the way an automotive painter would do it.
I have to do exactly what you did for the front fin on a Tootsietoy... nice to see how you worked on it - you gave me some ideas! Thanks - the car looks great.
Bardzo ładnie wykonany, w komplecie z nowymi oponami i nowym chromem. Pozdrawiam Joachim
Great looking 63 customised Covette Stungray restoration Paul . I know you've restored it as it is supposed to be. But ld loved to have seen your own customisation of this one. Great job though 👏 👌 👍
Than is a 63 Corvette. I’m sure you mean the model was made in 67. The only year Chevrolet manufactured the Corvette with the split-window is 1963. The designer loved it. The safety industry... not so much... it blocked the already limited view of the rear.
Boa Tarde a Todos ! Boa Tarde Paul! Gostei Da Restauração .....! 🤔Mas Acho Que iria Ficar Legal Se Fosse Pintado De PRETO E os Detalhes Em Cromado, Mas Valeu a Restauração
People put their models with original packaging for sale at auctions. I copy these packaging scans in the graphics program and open my own box. The movie about how I do it and is on my channel everything is shown there . Kind regards

Brings me back to my childhood. We had one just like this. Good job. Love my Corgi's
I had one too , only in silver .
Wonderful job on my favorite car, the Corvette. Awesome restoration.
Awesome, your work impeccable. Still love the boxes you also make, true craftsmanship, keep em comin y’all.🇺🇸🤘🏽😎

Another model with a big nostalgia buzz. Great work on the restoration, such attention to detail from the bumpers to the placing of the transfers.

To be fair, it's a replication of the original model. But those eyes on the headlights do look pretty silly.
@@randytaylor1258 To samo pomyślałem, ale robili to ze względu na dzieci. Pozdrawiam.

Absolutely beautiful, Paul. Such nice work on this one! I just finished a '63 split window Corvette Sting Ray myself. They're gorgeous classics, in my opinion. 🍁👍
Thank you very much
1963, that was the only year that had the split window.
They actually had it in 64 also but a lot of people complained so gm would cut it out and put a regular window in
@@Letsbuildit1987 never saw a '64 with it, it was really only for '63 as so many people complained about the poor rear visibility.
I used to restore them, even put wind-up Motors ,electric motors and Rockets and race them down the hill on our track when my kids were young. I still have so many of them in storage boxes outside in the weather
Cool
Great job😍. Not a restoration, like brand new fabrication👏👏
Thank you very much

Beautiful job, Paul.

Thank you very much
It´s a good tip, but you have to see which lacquer you are going to apply. Some lacquers may "eat" the decals away.
Beautiful Paul! Great job! 👍
Thank you very much Dimi
Very nice
Looks brand new or better
Thank you very much
Absolument magnifique, quel travail, bravo
Thank you very much
Absolutely marvellous, as usual !

These are so amazing to watch. Relaxing even. I do have to ask, what would happen if you accidentally cracked the windshield plastic?
Split Window Chevrolet Corvette Sting 👍👍

Corvette C1 '62 "FALL1N1" z serialu Lucyfer.
Salut sympa la stingray joli travail 👍👍👍
Thank you very much
Hi, very good job. What is the name of the liquid you use to polish the windshield?
Thank you very much , Gauzy glass agent
It reminds me of the Corvette Stingray that came with the Mini Tonka truck and trailer car carrier rig
Cool
I still have mine !! Looks just like yours before you restored it !!
Thank you very much Jerry
Another awesome build
Thank you very much
ЗдОрово! Отличная работа, красивая машинка )
большое спасибо
Love your vids and projects. But I would clear coat over the decals before assembling the model.
Thank you very much
Great work Paul...Fantastic..
Thank you very much Brian
What a great job, what is the silver /chrome paint please, looks really close to the original chromed plastic.
Thank you very much
Great video Dear Friend!👍127
Thank you very much
Thanks for the video and wonderful job. Quick question: shouldn't the decals have gone under the clear coat for durability?
sometimes I put stickers under the clearcoat, but it's not always possible anyway
Fantastic rebuild!
Thank you very much
Super 👍👍👍
Thank you very much

Great job on the bumper kolego ✌️😎🇺🇸
Thank you very much Don
Super robota pawel
Thank you very much
Great job
Thank you very much
It's easier to paint the rims first, then put on the tires.
Had that one as a child - first time i heard of STINGRAY in Corvette - years later found out that most Corvette models incorperats the word Stingray
Cool
Wish you were around when I was a kid to fix my cars
Cool
Where do you find the images to make the exterior boxes? Thanks!

Awesome job! Enjoy your Sunday!
Thank you very much
Great work looks awesome
Thank you very much
@@PaulRestorer your welcome
Good lord you did a phenomenal job
Thank you very much
Great restoration 👍🙂, but I think the original car didn't need the eyes. They don't suit the car.
Very cool!
Thank you very much
Wasn't 1963 the only year they made the split window? That's what I've always heard, but I get stuff up wrong sometimes.
I'm not sure that's what I read online. Best wishes
1963 is the year, the only year of the Split Window
Very nice!
Thank you very much
nice one,Paul.
Thank you very much
