Over 60 gals tend to need the security of that strap. Therefore, I will be keeping several pairs of my three year old sandals and heels.

I would think you’d show some cute flat sandals that go with dresses. Macys and Nordstrom always have a wide variety. Your selection seems limited to the same color and many without back straps or good support. There were any basic heels either. I’m not complaining just bringing up the fact that many people are on their feet all day and need good support. Open back shoes don’t offer that.

Except for the fact that you haven't posted anything about traveling in Europe (at least I haven't seen anything like that from you), you seem like the perfect person to research the most comfortable, durable, stylish, versatile, and season-appropriate shoes for walking tours in European cities, e.g. for all the walking up and down hills and on cobbled streets. I took several pair of shoes on my trip to Italy, and I wore them all. I thought I chose carefully, but nothing was a match for places like Pompeii, or even Rome and Florence. I wish you would put together a video like that for people like me, who are always on the lookout for necessaries to purchase in anticipation of a trip in the future.

So glad to see some padding and support in the ballet flats! I know more than a couple people over 50 who have given themselves plantar fasciitis from wearing the normal ballet flat/flat sandal with zero padding all summer. They were so cute with the crystals and pearls, too!

Hi Marnie. I love your style and think your shoe recommendations are beautiful - except maybe Birkenstocks - I just can’t. 😂 My problem is my feet are not pretty. No amount of grooming makes me feel comfortable with wide open toe shoes which is basically all I’m seeing for spring and summer this year. I need a bit of a heel since flats are not easy for me to walk in. Pretty much leaves espadrilles. If you can find any stylish closed-toe (or nearly closed but not peep toe) I’d love to see them styled in a future spring/summer haul. Thank you! You are a bright spot in my week. 😊
I understand your dilemma. Just look for your favorite shoe silhouettes in more spring/summer friendly materials-raffia, woven fabric, canvas, etc.

Great timing. I'm upgrading my shoes this spring. I'm looking for a dressy nude sandal and while there are a ton of options, I haven't found "mine" yet. I've been looking at the clear straps and haven't purchased simply because I'm worried about the clear looking dingy after a few wears. Glad to see some options you like.

I get rid of one pair of shoes each year, usually the cheaper trendy ones. I keep all my high-quality accessories. Loved all the ones you presented. I need a pair of neutral sandals for everyday wear; they have to be good to wear with shorts, skirts, dresses, and jeans. They have to be under 2 inches high. Any suggestions? 👍🙂♥🔥😍🤩

Holy! Far too hot for me. I’m in Canada and we can get snow in May! And I love it. Winter is my favourite season! I don’t want to bust out my spring stuff until May. I want a little more of the cool temps. The weather here fluctuates too much. We had winter days of -43 and can get up to +38-42 Celsius in summer. Too extreme! 😂

Marnie, thank you so much for this video. I don’t have a large shoe budget, and each year I try to find a new pair of sandals that will go with most of my wardrobe. I truly appreciate all of the options you presented as well as your experience with each. You saved me so much time! I really love the Sam Edelman platform wedge. I always find sandals with a slight wedge to be more comfortable than a flat shoe. I also love the Time and Tru double buckle block heel sandals. I have loved shoes since I was a teenager wearing my high platforms during the 1970's. At the age of 67, I now prefer ballet loafers and maybe a block heel boot. The last time I wore stilettos was at my daughter's wedding in 2013. You look fabulous in all of your shoe collection. Love the dresses you are wearing at the end of the video.

I purchased the high hazel pointed toe and omg couldn’t even stand up. Lol. The are very pretty but higher heel than I expected. I returned them. For those that can wear high heels go for it. They are certainly beautiful.
They do make a lower heel but it isn't quite the same effect.

I bought the Birkenstock shoe similar to the ones you showed at the Nordstrom sale last year and love them! Traditional Birkenstock style but in a vanilla color, sort of patent leather with big gold buckles. Love!

The hubby loves Birkenstocks and I finally found some last year that I liked. One of the design on straps look instead of original plain strap one. I know you need to break them down to feel more comfortable, but after wearing a few times I got a sore spot on the top of my foot. It took a long time to heal and this year for some strange reason that spot started hurting again. Since warm weather was almost over when I bought them, I will try them again once warm weather stays. I did find a dupe that feels better than the Birkenstocks and have worn those already this year.
