- Z0mbie, is the third single from the forthcoming album Project Regeneration Volume 2 and features vocals by Wayne Static. Project Regeneration Vol 2 is a collection of 13 brand-new Static-X songs which contain the final vocal performances & musical compositions of founding vocalist Wayne Static, along with the original Wisconsin Death Trip lineup featuring Tony Campos (bass), Koichi Fukuda (guitars) and Ken Jay (drums). The new album was produced by the band’s current vocalist/guitarist Xer0 and mixed/mastered by long-time collaborator Ulrich Wild and is the 2nd installment of the 2-part release. Wayne is dearly missed but this in my eyes is keeping his memory alive. The new music has been awesome. Hope you guys keep it going and never let evil disco die.

@@danield2398 cuz he did write all project regeneration songs lol. There's been footage that he was playing his guitar and he had a sample of one of them. It's not a new thing, there are lots of musicians that have writen songs they couldn't finish. In this case Wayne died so he couldn't finish the demos.

First off, I love what the band is doing. They are keeping Wayne's memory alive and giving fans something they thought they lost for good in 2014. Only the band members know the true intent of the video/lyrics.
I personally interpret this song as all the vices that Wayne and several musicians struggle with. I think there is a little dig at Tera as I would assume she was problematic at times. But again, I dont know cause I'm a fan and it's none of my business.
For all those saying they're going too far or Wayne is rolling in his grave ask yourselves when was the last time you thought of Wayne and then if you think you know him well enough to know he's rolling in his grave, what was the last thing Wayne said to you personally?

Static X was one of the bands that kept me sane all those years back during my parent's divorce. Got the privilege to see them live in march. Pure happiness.

And im not 99% sure, but i think all of Project Regeneration Vol. 2 will be about wayne and his relationship with drugs, since these 2 songs have been about that. I really hope Static-X keepz up with the good work.

Great song, it reminded me how great White Zombie used to be.
Tera was Wayne’s downfall. This video seems pretty accurate to every suspicion I had. Being a fan since the beginning in 98 the drastic difference in Wayne before and after Tera was like night and day. Even with all the meet and greets and back stage moments I had you could just tell she changed everything.
I agree completely, what Wayne and Tera had was a recipe for disaster. This was a karmic relationship that got way out of hand.
They both had addictive personalities that fed off each other, as evidenced by the fact that both of them had a drug addiction and kept each other supplied.
There's just no way in hell this was a happy or healthy relationship and marriage. While I don't blame either party, I do feel that they were not right for each other.
Truly heartbreaking for the families they left behind, this was a tragedy that never should've happened.
Marrying a druggie pornstar is never a good path to go down.

This is a jab at Terra Wray, and how they say she ruined Wayne with drugs and sex. Edsel mentioned this several times in interviews, and how Wayne wasn't the same after meeting her, and taking pills and hard drugs. He's not wrong, but then again, who are we to judge? They were in love, and their love, such as it was, made them happy for a while. Until it killed both of them.

I have gotten many compliments on my Static-X merch for years but the least place I expected it to happen was last week as I was moving a friend into assisted living. An employee said "Oh, Static-X, nice! I saw them when I lived in Cali." We swapped concert memories and the time I met Wayne and Tera in Seattle shortly after moving to Washington. I will never forget this time when I was 20 and was at the doctor for one of several health issues and was having blood drawn. Someone from high-school who I rarely talked to and hadn't seen for 2 years saw me and was trying to "catch up" when a nurse brought in a huge brown bag and told me it was everything for my stool sample and asked if I'd like to do it now or take it home. Dude's eyes got big and he just walked off! I wanted to kiss that nurse for getting me out of that conversation and ran to the car and put on ..In a Bag and laughed hysterically! Evil Disco baby! Wayne and Tera were extremely kind and talked to my husband and I for about 30 mins after the show about life and random things. It was a rare moment you meet someone famous who seems bigger than life but they were so genuine❤

Xer0 gave the band new life. Impressive production is what I felt was missing from the Static-X. I believe that a lot of work has been done for the Regeneration project for many years. I really like it. Mixing and mastering really suit the metal music and make you come back to the music again and again. It's both modern and nostalgic. I hope you will also remaster songs from earlier albums in the same quality. Thank you, guys

"Mixing and mastering make you come back to the music again and again" um no, the song is what makes you go back, mixing and mastering just polishes it a bit and it can ruin it if you overdo it as is the case with most modern production. Remasters??? Are you f kidding me? What for? Do you even know what most remasters are? They just eq it a bit and make it louder thus killing the dynamics of the sound.
@@codenamescarletfox yeah, there are many examples of bad remasters (even not in music, for example, Warcraft 3 Reforged). I expressed my personal preferences, especially since I mix music myself, and I look for quality in music. I myself see how my demos transform when I polish them. I'm afraid to guess in what form the guys received the demos for these two albums.
