I bought the Mapex Black Wiidow recently, after checking out a lot of the Mapex Black Panther line. It’s a great sounding snare and very good value for money. Really love it...that’s what buying snares are all about.. 🙂
@@roybeckerman9253 either of the two brass ones come to mind, I think there was another too but offhand I can’t remember which one it was now. There wasn’t really a bad one in there though.
Hi mate, great video, thanks. I just remembered my Black Panther in the lock up. I'm gonna sell it on eBay with do you think I should be asking for please bud, I'm right out the loop. It is a really nice snare in my opinion. i don't wan to lose money on it. Mines still in perfect condition.
Thank you! Always a tough call on value for these things. There's a non-gold hardware one on ebay at the moment for £175, but I've seen them advertised anywhere from £120 to £150 as well (or however that converts in other currencies). I would say you possibly have two options - don't sell it and end up like me (how do you think I got so many?) or stick it on ebay with a reserve so you get what you want. Alternatively, you could stick it on Gumtree/Craigslist and then just name the price you want. If you don't want to let it go for anything less than a set amount, that might be best for you. If it was mine, which is in played condition, I'd possibly ask for £160 for it. If yours is mint (and maybe had a case with it as I think some of them did), then maybe you could push for a bit more. Thing is, Mapex have made some nice drums, but they're not really collectible as such so they're more 'working' drums than anything else. Hope that helps.
Hey Dave, Thank you for your help and information. I've got it on an Auction on eBay but if its not getting enough attention I'll pull it a day before. Funnily its not how I set it up on eBay, I did 7 products all the same and this one seemed to change by its self. Maybe a good sign of a nice sale lets hope, I'll let you know. Thank mate. Keep the great video's coming.
Rob Tyler Black Hi Sir, If you are still selling the snare drum mapex black panther I would like buy it. Because I have been looking this one since long time. Thanks
Hi mate, Sorry for late reply. I've sold it sadly, needed the funds. You should hopefully find one knocking about, I saw a few while I was selling it online.

I've just had all 14 of the new ones come through here actually. Pretty nice for the price, definitely.

I love the METALLION BRASS…
One of the best of the new ones.

The hoops on those things weigh a ton!
Will take your word on that, I don't think I've ever taken a head off.
The hoops alone account for over half the weight of the drum itself. This was the case with a Birdseye Maple Black Panther I once had.
I'm going to have to take one off now to test that.
Dave Batemans Shed you'll laugh at how heavy those things are. 😅
