Price comparison where I'm at 1 green pepper is $1 but those are tiny so we'll half ($4). 1 lemon is 50c ($5). Green bean are about 70c/lbs that looks like 1lb (70c). Carrots are about 60c/lb (60c). 1 avocado is $1 the ones you got are bigger so they are about $1.50/$2 but we'll just say ($7). Bananas are about 49c/lbs ($1.50). Tomatoes are about $1.50/pound that looks like 3lbs ($4.50). The onions are about $1/lbs ($1.50). So it'd be about $20
If we shop there give the traders more money and offer advice to the traders, market inspectors and organisers to improve the infrastructure and displays Let's keep spending our money with these small businesses
Are there other vegetable markets like this in Harare? I know that this is the biggest, but can you also find markets like this on the north side of the city?
the stuff thats cheap in Zimbabwe is expensive here in usa, and the stuff thats expensive in zim its cheap in usa. Example, fast food is cheap in usa, but that fresh stuff cost a whole lot, in a wholes food market, what u bought for $7 will cost over $70 here in usa
Oh wow that's interesting! You are absolutely on fast food being expensive in Zimbabwe. KFC is quite expensive here in Zim and not a lot of people can afford it.
Really enjoyed this what about the fee for that guy that probably forced himself on you to ‘help’ 😂! Would really like to hear what you did NOT like about shopping in Mbare 😂 that perspective would be very interesting.
