I love tekapo! If you get the chance follow the te araroa trail on the eastern side of the lake up to stag saddle and then take the ridgeline to the west back down. Its a seriously epic view.
Me too! It's been so great living here :) and thank you so much for the tip! I have been really wanting to find a trail nearby and hoping to do a stretch of the araroa whilst in NZ so that's perfect 😃

Reminds me of Grandma before a new tour....Lovely to see the summer sun through the trees in leaf.... Please don't swim (for longer) in parts of the lake where any jet skis might rip through (not without a bright float). Is the lake so cold because it's come recently from ice melt? Love you 😘
Ah I often do think of Grandma when I am doing the tours, gives me a confidence boost :) I don't swim out far into the lake, if I do start I will buy a float :) It is glacier water, quite cold but I think I am used to it now. Love you too!
