  • Track Preview & History On F1's Iconic Japanese GP
    Every F1 driver's favorite Grand Prix is the Japan GP because of its iconic and beautiful Suzuka circuit layout. It is one of the oldest but most notorious tracks we have on the F1 calendar in 2024. Will Red Bull and Max Verstappen run away with it, or will the competition be strong yet again?

    • @InflictedMedia
      @InflictedMedia 2 месяца назад +2

      Exactly. What LEC's weakness always has been, was consistency. Typically car setup related, even in AUS he had issued with the setup and he still finished P2.
      His final form will demolish all that Sainz-is-better-than-leclerc talk!

    • @John333Scout
      @John333Scout 2 месяца назад

      @@InflictedMedia The better than Lec talk is literally just delusional Sainz fans or Lec Haters, they have no real valid point and the further you look into it the more obvious Lec is >> than Sainz. I also don't understand why we cant just be happy for both of them when they do well but it seems they in order to enjoy Sainz's success they have to put Lec down and its quite annoying.
      I also think Lec's weakness of not being consistent is just a false narrative that had been formed and people used to say that about Ver but that all went away but Lec's is overblown by Ferrari's failures and just pure bad luck. The dude should be a 15+ race winner if it wasn't for Ferrari fuck ups or pure just bad luck and nothing more.

    I really like Suzuka track layout wise. The only thing is the last chicane, because there is not enough space to really make many overtakes happen. Also the exit is preventing turn 1 overtakes due to dirty air. Maybe that could be something they could change in the future along with widening the track slightly to suit modern cars.

    • @F1Unchained
      @F1Unchained  2 месяца назад +1

      Agreed

    • @Urgrannytranny
      @Urgrannytranny 2 месяца назад

      I Bet they just put that chicane there just for the sake of it. Otherwise it would have been one long 320 km/h fly-by from Spoon curve at T14 all the way to finish line. I thinks it's fine as it is. Drivers who lose their place at 130R entry after leading this whole time can fight to reclaim it on that chicane usually.

    • @maximilianmeier1441
      @maximilianmeier1441 2 месяца назад

      @@Urgrannytranny Yeah I agree that there has to be a slow corner. But would it be worse to widen the track there and just build a 90° corner with tighter radius? Like at the end of the Kemmel Straight in Spa or the stadium entry in Mexico.
      That way you would get more overtaking without sacrificing the identity of the track.

Also, I think Lec will be P2 and Sainz P4 given last year Lec beat Sainz after his win in Singapore, Lec has been good this year and I see them as 1-1 cuz Lec would have finished P3 if it wasn't for the brake issue and I don't think Lando will be that far off the pace.
    I think it will be:

    The last time 130R wasn't a flat out formality was in 2002. Alan McNish's crash during qualifying, in which his car cut straight through the barrier (ruclips.net/video/8QpD-IdR1fk/видео.html), meant that that was the last year 130R was run in its legendary configuration. Alonso's overtake of Schumacher in 2005 happened when 130R was already a few years into being a flat out kink, instead of an actual high speed corner where drivers' commitment and skill were tested.

    Obviously you are over rating Piastri. Yes!!! He is among the best the driver / team combinations 'on track' but has not developed the belief that he can win yet........... maybe ........ over time, he will learn how to master that belief. ha-ha

    I think it would be worthwhile to hear how Max says his name, this clip is him introducing himself. I understand some people may have a hard time pronouncing certain words but I do think attempting to learn the proper pronunciation of Max’s last name would be a benefit for you. Unless you are mispronouncing it on purpose, then continue with what you are doing.

    Your obvious Ferrari bias is misplaced & showing. ha-ha
    Think about it.............. You predict that the RB team will easily have the fastest car 'on track' yet you suggest that Checo is incapable of achieving P2!!!! ha-ha Unless the FIA unfairly interferes with the qualifying results again (ref. 2024 Melbourne race) , Checo is more than capable of achieving P2 in the race.
    Not to mention Alonzo in your top 6 pick must be major oversight on your part. ha-ha
    Alonzo has to be very 'pissed off' with the FIA's decision to penalize him for GR's obvious driving incompetence 'on track' in Melbourne and must be fired up for an exciting race to prove that Aston Martin is a force to be taken very seriously. ha-ha.

    One more boring race.
