I really need videos like this about Southern Thai, because I learned Thai in Bangkok and now I live in the sticks of Songkhla and I can't understand my inlaws...any tips appreciated.
Excellent! I'm actually going to school for Thai language here in Bangkok. These videos are a great supplement 😊
Would have been good if you'd added that ที่ can also be used for "that". E.g. "the girl that I like" = "สาวที่ผมชอบ"
konnichiwa jay!

Hi I have a question.
I've been watching a lot of your tutorials, but this time I noticed you spelled ฉัน to ชั้น...
What's the difference between these two?.
I hope you can help me out here.
In her context, ชั้น means I as in English. It’s written in accordance with her pronunciation as well as it is spoken language. [in Thailand, most people say ชั้น instead of ฉัน as it is easier for us to say it. However, ชั้น (as a pronoun) is informal when it comes to writing, so you will not find it in official letters, newspaper, etc.
ชั้น also has another meaning as it can also means class or floor. For example, ชั้น 2 means 2nd floor.
Therefore, it depends on the contexts whether it means I or floor. No worry, you will get a hang of it once you learn more Thai 😊
@@nontawatmayi9368 Wow you know good English and Thai! Thanks for the explanation btw.
@@nontawatmayi9368 Thank you for your explaination. Its very useful for beginers like me.
สําหรับ for.
how should I place ไว้
She is so cute
For all words referring to me (chan), do we change it to “phom” for guys?
+1. Have the same question... I'm not really sure, as a male, if I should say "phom" rather than "chan". It seems that "phom" is very restricted to male. But "chan" could be use by both male and female in non-formal language. But I would expect a thai-native confirmation.
@@epix38 As far as I've learned about it, "phom" is used exclusively by males. "chan" is essentially for females, but it can be used by males under very specific circumstances, for example, if you're referring yourself to your loved one (or even your best friend). It brings a sense of "cuteness" when you talk to someone you have close relationship with.
@@epix38 I think you guys right. :)
I don't know if it's just me but she's absolutely beautiful. Especially at 1:22. Love that giggle! ❤
khapunka...khun naa rak p'jay
khawp khun kráp
Pity the Thai script is mostly masked by the under title ( and with the transliteration you go nowhere ). ครูเป็นสิ่งที่ดีมาก
Just get on with the material and stop making useless little nervous giggly anecdotes along the way. They are irritating.
