  • City builders are always interesting, but quiet little village builders are much more appealing. Anyone can make a bunch of skyscrapers look cool, but when you have a couple dozen houses and some lumberjacks, you have to try harder. Now I can do that while being judged harshly for my score, so it's really got everything I've always wanted.

The fun of building a town AND being harshly judged for how many points you earn in the process!

Honestly man, you've shown me more indie gems than most other youtube reviewers combined. You definitely deserve more subs

The sad thing is that there are more indie games I want to play than I could ever have time for - let alone making videos. But it's good to know some people appreciate seeing them!

Did you share this video on your social media so the guy actually gets more subs? Or did you just came here to point on the low sub count? Don't be bragging here, stand for your words and do something that is actually meaningful

Dorfromantik was good enough to earn some imitators. The best genres started with a strong game

It's interesting to me that the developers of Dorfromantik and TerraScape are both in Germany. Does Germany just love peaceful forested towns?

@@AbbreviatedReviews Germany has a long tradition of creating board games. Often with no violence, and all players stay in the Game till the end. Think settlers of catan
The genre is even called Euro or German style board game.
Also Germany is more peaceful than the nations around it, because we made two very mad experience starting wars.
