Hey man, congrats on your win at MTNA! I was also in that competition--didn't get to hear your performance, but I saw the program and admired from afar. Any chance you can upload that Sonata Tragica (I'm pretty sure you were the one who played Medtner? Might be mistaken.)? I'm a huge fan of that composer and was happy that someone played it (even more that you won with it!). Best of luck with the regionals!

Wow how cool! I that’s crazy that someone I don’t know follows me from Oregon! Haha
I actually didn’t play the Medtner though I vaguely remember seeing that.
      My program was
      Schubert 90-2 Impromptu
      Bach partita 1
Gigue and Intermezzo from Wesley Thompson’s piano suite
      2 Etudes
      Ligeti 10
      Rachmaninoff Op. 36-6
      Chopin Scherzo 2.
      What did you play?
Thanks! I just did regionals this week.
Waiting til January to hear back.

Hey Aaron, one of those casuals here :)
Haven't heard you speak for that long! The way you explain yourself is awesome!! Makes me question whether you've been performing in other fields rather than music, 'cuz you got the speaking skill. It is so so necessary for any modern form of content creation on youtube/social media, and you got it right off the bat. It's gonna be super useful going forward.
I personally would love some content explaing historic pieces, sounds like a neat idea. It would also hit youtube shorts in the sweet spot, imagine a curious short-form fact about a symphony or a composer? Lemmi give an example, there's this short getting viral about how Nokia's legendary ringtone is originated from Gran Vals by Francisco Tarrega, which I had known about, but it's still neat how the short got so popular on this topic.
If you think shorts are too short for your liking it's okay, shorts can lead to your full-length videos explaining it all in details.
It would be amazing to see you develop your brand in that general direction. Best of wishes! :)

Thanks so much! I appreciate this feedback and your continued support. I don't know who you are, but I have seen your comments more consistently than anyone over the years. As a thank you, I have a free gift for you. Send me an email at aaronalfonsopetit@gmail.com and I will deliver it that way. :)
I grew up doing the speaking skill thing in history and drama classes at school. It used to be SO hard for me to speak in front of a crowd or a camera. Now it's second nature. I want to get into the "shorts" thing soon. I am doing a deep dive into learning RUclips and how it works to build traffic and channel quality, etc. It's a LONG journey. ;) Thanks again. Love your name pun BTW. I chuckle every time I see it.
