Welldone man, simple straight forward video.no nonsense, faffing about just straight to the job,and done it by your self no second man.
Glad it helped.. thanks for the comments! feedback always appreciated as a small channel 👌😃👍
Great video man thanks a million for this as a non mechanic this has given me the confidence to take it off and replace it myself
No problem 👍
Many thanks, refitted a dislodged parking sensor in under 30 mins.
👍
Thanks for the guide mate - really useful - The reason the top screws are missing both sides, is because the car is lowered and looks like it has spacers. The wheel catches the screw when going over bumps. Removing the top screws fixes that problem. ;)
Thanks Howard 👍 I never even considered that ha 👌
Just about to do the same job. Thanks for this! Made it look so easy. I know it will take me a lot longer than you but at least I won't worry when I hear the clips pop off 🤣🤣
Just as a follow up. Job got done actually relatively quickly with the help of my Mrs. Couldn't have done it as easily without your video. Thanks mate.
Nice one , thanks for the update! 👍👍 glad it helped 👌
Big help, thanks for your guidance.
Glad to help 👍
Can u do a vid on removing the rear bumper on the same car would be highly apreshated..
If the chance comes up I’ll definitely do it for you 👍
@@diydaly much apresihated bro thank you..
@@Anoymus985 👍
Thanks for the video, do you know what's the reason I couldn't pull the bumper off the 😢 already break one clip but it's still biting so tight
Hmm not sure tbh, if you’ve followed all the same steps at it’s not working may be a different setup
Thanks mate, going to do mine now.....
No problem 👍
thankyou m8 going to be doing this at weekend to replace headlights , seems as though headlights would come out without dismantling whole bumper but hey ho , if jobs worth doing 👌
👍👍 glad it will help mate
@@diydaly I'm going to do this outside house can I take the torx from under arches then drive up on ramps and do the rest ? sorry thinking out loud lol
@@rmc5278 yeah you'll be Able to do that mate
Hey. Love the video. Just struggling a bit there seems to be a bolt keeping the left side from coming off? Any suggestions on what to do?
Did you end up managing to do it? Trying to do mine and I've got the same problem, I'm pulling hard on the corners and it doesn't seem to budge
Hey dont know if you can help but just had my mk7 golf bumper stolen any ideas on fixings is it allen key for golf maybe i should change to star head what are the size of the body panel screws, does nobody do anti theft fixings any help would be appreciated many thanks
Arr sorry I’m not too sure! It was a while ago I did this
Great Video ❤
👍
Man thanks for the video. Have to do this on my Golf 7 to clean the radiators. Have u ever cleaned them? Would you have any tips on how to do it??
Glad it will help , tbh I’ve never cleaned a radiator mate
I've watched other videos of this removal and saw that on others cars there is one bolt on either side by where the fender (side clips in) you didn't show that are those bolts missing on your car?
Hi Harry, im fairly sure there weren't any missing, the bumper may be slightly different on this model
@@diydaly Right you are, those bolts I referred to are for the headlights. I've been watching as many vids as I could find pertaining to replacing HID bulbs before taking it on (the front fender has to be at least partially removed and those 2 bolts are covered by the fender. I did the HID replacement yesterday (successfully). I've got an. Alltrack I was most worried about pulling the fender loose on the sides by the. wheel arches but it was much easier than anticipated.
@@harryberry474 glad you got it done .. yeah not bad to do at all really 👍
Hi Mate, nice video
Hey, thanks 👍👍
How do you deal with the headlight washers (mk7 gtd)?
Not done one with washers tbh mate but the caps will usually pop off then you will need do disconnect the water feed pipes and connectors
Hi there, did this bumper having parking sensors, any experience taking the bumper off with the extra parking sensor wires
hi mate, this one didnt have.. they usually just have a simple plug on the back of each sensor though 👍
Do you by any chance know how to replace the plastic brackets where the bumper is supported on the side?
I can’t quite remember with out looking tbh mate , never had to replace any myself
Do you know it already, would love to know what info you have about it! Thanks
I removed the bumber and installed back then the front park sensors not working. What i have done wrong?
Hey how are you. I am trying to install fog lights on my 2020 Volkswagen golf tsi. Is it possible to snap out the pieces on the front bumper for a easy install or I have to take off the entire bumper?
Hi mate , I’ve not done any on a 2020 model but I’m pretty sure you’ll need to take the bumper off .. there’s fairly easily to get off though 👌👍
just be careful if you have the 7.5 facelift model with acc , the radar is behind the front grille and if you disconnect it you will disable acc and will cost £££ to get re calibrated.
Arr yes mate they are a nightmare 😖 we’ve had to have a few calibrated
Oh shit.... I might have seen this comment too late. I disconnected it so I hope I don't have to get it recalibrated 🤣🤣 fuuuuck.
@adamj8099 did you have to recalibrate jt?
@@threemileallandisconnected mine multiple times n acc worked fine
Have you ever done a rear bumper on the mk7? A body shop removed my rear bumper, broke some clips so they ordered a replacement bumper and mounted it in a way that it jammed against the rear quarter panel causing rust on the quarter. Are the support brackets adjustable if you know?
hmm im not too sure tbh mate, im afraid ive never fitted one
@@diydaly no worries thanks for your help anyways!
@@HugeVictor 👍
Hi mate can I buy a r line bumper and swap straight on mk7 tsi ?
I’m 95% sure you can mate , I’ve not tried myself ta
@@diydaly cheers probably change it myself. What would you charge for a bumper change ?
@@JamzOs yeah there not bad to do at all mate, im not really doing any jobs outside of work at the mo but most people would charge around the £40-£60 area id say
@@diydaly you was spot on £40 lol but I’m going to do myself with my pal that’s the best bit about changing it doing it yourself lol from your experience mate the lower spoiler/retainer looks the same as tsi but there different part numbers do you think I will fit the tsi on the r line bumper ?
@@JamzOs 👍 yeah it is mate I always find you tend to take abit more care if your doing it yourself too and it’s your own car! With this video I’m sure you’ll do it no problem , there fairly strait forward really it’s just a case of knowing where all the fixing points are 👌 yeah I’m fairly sure that should just swop over mate 👍
