Just be careful taking out the spool - it will fly out of the mag with some velocity. Also, it is super sharp, so be extra cautious. I wound mine from the outside-in - much easier than rolling it up from the inside-out.
step 1 unscrew that bottom screw. step 2 push in pins and seperate the mag from the inner peice. step 3 twist silver half circle part until it wont twist anymore. step 4 while holding silver half circle piece. release a bb from top. easy fix. u took it apart to much. hope i helped...
if you are trying to fix thw coil thing for your own sake of time dont take it out I took mine out following instructions from another guy and when I tried to wind it back up I got like 15 cuts on each of my fingers now it hurts just to touch the coil and im not even going to bother with it just cause its a waste of time
I actually fixed it and No you cant really. You would need to weld it and bending the metal as i did was much easier and free. At least your thinking about it.
It's also a simple repair, just pull some of the coil from inside and fix it back into the centre, take out the old broken coil
Thanks man! It helped me figuring out what was wrong with some of my mags.
i took my hi cap m4 mag apart to clean it and the coil in the gear that winds the mag up un-spooled can u make a vid on how to re-spool a hi cap mag
you mag will make a revving sound, thats the coil unwinding
SO HELPFUL! Better than buying 2 new Mags, Alright, I know what piece to fix now...

Awesome video dude.
one question what is the difference between a regular mag and wind up mag besides you having to wind up the wind up mag?
@thatguyczawlytko Thank you! you helped me fix my magazin, good video :)
I cant access the coil. Its sandwiched between two gears
step 1 unscrew that bottom screw. step 2 push in pins and seperate the mag from the inner peice. step 3 twist silver half circle part until it wont twist anymore. step 4 while holding silver half circle piece. release a bb from top. easy fix. u took it apart to much. hope i helped...
