As my 87-year-old mother-in-law once said, “he should take that helmet off more often”! Thanks for the memories, Henrik!!!!

He walks in the door at Madison Square Garden and there is standing Mike Richter… He didn’t know who I was, I was just a kid from Sweden… Well now Hank my man, I assure you that he knows who you are now… Your name will hang right next to his for all eternity… You are a legend my good man.

The Rangers have been extremely fortunate in their goaltenders since the mid 60's
Giacomin - JD - Beezer - Richter - Henrik - and now hopefully Igor. Between JD and Beezer and Richter and Henrik, the position was up for grabs. (in no particular order) There was Baker, Weeks, Mio, Hanlon, Weekes, Dunham. Blackburn etc.. I would have really loved to see what Blackburn could have done. They also had some key back ups during these years that helped out the starters.
    Lets go Rangers! Congrats Henrik!
