So apparently there's a non compete clause in the deal sony made with marvel to not have any live action project compete with mcu spiderman. I think why spiderman 4 is taking soo long is because Sony wants to change that.
Makes sense, people would confuse the other spider man movies with the MCU one. As it is, the actors of madam web I guess thought they were in a MCU movie. So you can only imagine how confused casuals would be.

Spider-Man 4 should be grounded, but has little multiversal elements to push the bigger story towards Secret wars.
Maybe in a post-credit scene perhaps just to foreshadow for it just perhaps not for the rest of the overall movie before that though

That would be the best of both worlds and would make them a lot of money. We have evidence that it works with MCU Tom and the spider-verse films. Unfortunately they’re tone deaf and will not listen to their own peers.
@@odbade1999 they already did a GREAT trilogy with Tobey. They tried to “redo it” with Garfield and it was trash. It did not come close $$$ wise to Tobey. They then tried something OUT OF THE BOX: “add him to MCU.”
THIS we never saw before, and it was comic book accurate: Spider-Man in the Marvel comic book universe. It has done lots of $$$. The ONLY thing that would make sense would be a trilogy that we have NOT seen before … Spider-Man 2099?? Basically, Blade Runner Spider-Man 😊

Sony goes alone, it’s without Tom Holland. Do they do Miles alone without a Peter mentor? They just did that in the Spider-Verse trilogy (1 left). They have to make a Spider-Man movie every 5 years to keep the rights.
No one is seeing side characters. If they try rebooting Peter again, what do they do? Superior Spider-Man? That’s a great story but it would be for like MCU Spider-Man like 6 or 7.
They’d max at $500m for a solo Spider-Man (so barely breaking even) with no Venom or any MCU character to join the movie with him.

These leaks have been flying off the rumour mill all week, as Sony continues to splash around in their own cesspit of excrement. The scent on Sony is bad enough but, trying to get the MCU, Sam Raimi and Toby Maguire to join them as they drown, is way beyond "the Pale".

Given how truly terrible writing we've seen lately from SONY, I don't think they have the mental capacities to cook up that complex of an interconnected universe to bring all these titles/movie universes together. Marvel should take over for them.

I love it when guys like Paul have big scoops like the one you're always referencing here, but what I don't get is why you couldn't still have a multiverse while simultaneously creating a new timeline where characters from across the multiverse all exist together. I prefer to think that. Nicholas Cage's Ghost Rider, Jennifer Garner's Electra, and Wesley Snipes Blade all still exist somewhere in another timeline. What would this mean for Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's versions of Spider-Man? I see no reason why they can't still exist in another timeline.

So it's because of Sony we're getting a new mainstream MCU soft reboot after "Avengers: Secret Wars" happens by then. I guess that makes more sense for Marvel Studios to potentially do it I just think he's confusing the 1984 Secret Wars for the 2015 Secret Wars which I believe I think they'll potentially adapt over instead there

IMO, the reason Spider-Man movies are successful is that we are left wanting more. All this talk about Raimi SM4, a continuation of on Andrew SM, MCU introducing Miles Morales, Miles animated movies, Venom/Kraven/Madaam Web AND. MCU Holland SM. Quickly becomes too much and over saturated.
I think if Sony really wants to continue the multiverse they can make a separate movie with Andrew and Tobey and have Tom do a cameo or smt and tease this story in the MCU Spiderman 4.
To be honest unless Sony did a live action Miles or Spider-Gwen I don't have any ducks to give for their cheesey attempts to force Spidey's rogues and supporting cast into a cinematic universe. A REAL 4th installment of the Tobey Spider-Man is a whole other story, but any 12-year-old comic fan could have told them that BEFORE they spent a fortune making movies nobody cares about.

Can you imagine if they released all three Spider-Man sequels on the same day! And all intertwined, somehow, which would require everyone to watch all three of them.
Nothing good will come of Sony pushing to have a movie just to keep the contract alive making them money. There is a reason they have been pumping out crap. Marvel has done a better job, but we know being rushed to do will not be the best outcome.
This might be an unpopular opinion but honestly I think Tobeys time as spiderman is kind of over, anymore story from him would honestly just feel forced for nostalgia is what I think personally. Still think Andrew is young enough and has a lot more concepts that could be utilized that I think he proved in no way home.
It would have been so much better of he died in the last movie. They need to stop doing this test audience crap and stick to the artists vision.
Sony could do a stand alone SM movie and let the MCU have Holland stay in that universe with the Secret Wars and multi-hero movies, much like DC had with Batman and The Batman.
Why not make 2 Spiderman movies? One movie with Andrew and Toby dealing with the repercussions of the spell. Maybe even help explain how it somehow affected Morbius. They could have that movie with one or both of the Peters seeking out other hereos like their own Doctor Strange. Have the 2 Peters team up to clean up the mess. Then end the movie with them failing and setting up their appearances in Secret Wars. If they handled Madame Web correctly she could have been the one to bring the Sony verse together
Then they could still do a grounded Spiderman 4 with Tom and just end that movie with a tease for Avengers 5. Have Toms movie come out before Avengers 5 and have the other one release between the 2 Avengers movies. Best of both worlds while also giving us a better glimpse into the lives of Andrew and Tobey's universes. The Andrew and Tobey movie could also set up a major crossover event just for the Sony side of things that could take place during or just before Secret Wars
Tom Holland's Peter Parker technically not supposed to exist anymore haha. His whole past was erased in No Way Home. It's basically a whole new universe he's in.

The CEO or CEO'S (I don't know, the people that run Sony) of Sony are stupid, the saw that No Way Home made money and are trying to make money why the an "multiverse"? But then why they made Madame Web? and Morbius? Like, wtf, do they think that by just placing everyone in a film it will make money? Why not just you know.... make good films....
Least beloved? No way, movie has unparalleled moments to the others, as all 3 movies do.....and it's the movie that set up the anticipation for the final 3rd.....living through that anticipation attaches a special kind of nostalgia when watching this one

Venom in some fashion needs to appear to be Spider Man 4’s villain. I think a great mixture between multiversal and grounded would be allowing Kingpin to be Venom in the MCU.
One thing I will say, I am excited for Unity now that’s a good idea, but those leaks are just lies and predictions just dress it up the way it’s supposed to be instead of making up things to drum up interest you’re a good person just do better

Back when Disney bought Fox, after the sharing deal with Sony for Spider-Man...it was covered that Disney gave Kevin full reign over Marvel due to the streaming launch. Kevin then controlled the movie, TV, and comics. To open the door to Venom's connection to the MCU, Kevin had the origin story of the symbiote's race revisited in the comics. The mentioning of Knull and his sword (Necrosword), and later the new owner of the sword Gorr (the God Butcher). In "Thor: God of Thunder (2012) issue #2, All-Black the Necrosword is supposed to be the first symbiote. Hence, why the Shadow Lord, the Necrosword, and Gorr (the God Butcher) were mentioned and/or in Thor's "Love and Thunder" film. So the ground work of the symbiote/Venom was already layed out (similar to how Namor was layed out back in Iron Man 2 (on the map)). Basically, seeds were already planted for this multi-verse war (Secret Wars) and Sony's connection to the MCU besides Tom Holland's Spider-Man. The Venom/symbiote connection was already being established (blueprint layed out).
So we calling Tom s Spider-Man Petey n Garfield’s Peter and Og Spider-Man Toby Pete?

Movie opens up and it shows all the spiderman going back to their universes and Andrew's universe is having an incursion and madame shows up and teleports him to Tobey Mcguires universe to save him, This universe where has a version of his Gwen Stacy and in this Universe they have 2 Spidermen fighting against the sinister 6.

I'm with Sony on this. I want to see more Spiderverse post secret wars. the multiverse never ends in comics so it shouldn't on screen . I feel like marvels weakness compared to DC is marvel doesn't have elseworlds stories except for the ultimate universe or the mc2 universe and spidergwen and spiderverse etc . and it would be nice to have A continuation of the multi verse on film so we can have more Tobey more andrew venom Hugh Jackman wolverine etc type films because those are technically marvels version of else worlds stories and I think marvel needs more of that . The multi verse should be used for marvel to have alternate stories because then that gives a break now and then from the connected stuff . also I'm very very excited for Tobey spiderman 4 .
