Lots of time goes into recording, editing, researching, and providing encouraging words throughout each reaction/review so this is an OPTION for those that are able to do so. DO NOT if finances are tight and priorities need to be taken care of first.

Kansas guitarist Kerry Livgren wrote this after reading a book of Native American poetry. The line that caught his attention was, "For all we are is dust in the wind."
This got him thinking about the true value of material things and the meaning of success. The band was doing well and making money, but Kerry realized that in the end, he would eventually die just like everyone else. No matter our possessions or accomplishments, we all end up back in the ground. The guy playing the violin recently passed away on July 17th. Kerry thought once they were gone so was their music, if only he knew it's still being played and touching lives. You need to react to the official video for wayward son it's just phenomenal.

Another fact about this song is Kerry use this riff in his living room at night as a finger exercise and somehow it turns out to be one of the greatest hits of all time these guys were clearly 1 of the most spiritual bands ever to play secular music when you listen to the words of a number of their songs you can clearly hear the messages check out the song the wall it's kerry battle within his mind to see if it's all worth it is it worth the fame and the glory to lose what is really inside I love these guys my class song in 1977 in the state of Maine my high school was carry on my way ward son another great great song keep spreading the music around brother God-bless.

This is a Classic! I finally got to see Kansas come alive when I saw them with my Chicago at a free concert in DC for Veterans sometime between 2004-2013 not sure when. But it was so awesome to see Kansas Live in concert and see them play one of my favorite songs Dust in the Wind! Legendary!

This and Wayward Son are my favorites by them. I love Kansas lol. My Dad is a drummer as well as I and when he used to play gigs at casinos and stuff he’d play Wayward Son (this song didn’t exactly fit the fun vibe of his venues.) And I love that you brought scripture into this video. I was not surprised Ecclesiastes was the book of choice as it’s kinda a depressing book lol. Edit: Also Song of America!

Kansas is real music. It sounds like you like hip hop or whatever. But music like dust in the wind. I can look back at this or any number of songs and remember every exact detail of when I first heard it. The beauty and good memories from it. Now take cardi b for example. Where were you whe you ou first heard WAP? See huge difference there.

I lovingly send this out to all of my Veteran Brothers and Sisters who didn't come home. You will forever remain loved, honored, and remembered. Until we feast and drink again in the War Halls of Heaven. All the way! Airborne!
My friends Dale, Charise, Xiu and I did this song as a Trio during our Spring Choral Concert of 1986. I was a junior, they were seniors. We all loved Kansas. Dale played the acoustic and I played the acoustic bass, Charise played the tambourine, and our friend Xiu played the violin. We were MTVs Unplugged before it was cool. 😁
Little known fact of The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame History:
Kansas and Boston aren't in the RRHoF.
Two of the greatest bands of all time. And they're not in the RRHoF. Sad!

What you got "In God we trust" on an American flag? God is NOT American!
Btw, you have a huge example of Idols around you, why even your real name up in lights.
At the least I would have expected a "Christian" to know better. As a role model what are you teaching other's? Idolatry is a Sin, it's 1 of the 10 commandments or did you forget that. I'm disappointed with your actions brother but I can't judge as we both know only our Creator can do that. Sorry if I come off angry, maybe I am.
