    I have 7 cuttings to plant today. I mix all my own soil and this time I’m going to add bio char & pumice to my mixture. Love your show, keep growing.

    long time follower, you have never disappointed with your soil recommendations. Have some new rooted cuttings to transplant. Obtained the Sunshine Mix and sand. Will be adding the pumice to the mix as well. Looking forward to the results. Hoping that the majority of my plants make it through the summer this year. Last summers AZ heat was brutal, turning some of my dragon fruit into mush, despite being shaded. Thank you Paul!

    Hey Paul, with the mix that was mentioned three months ago, what do you think is the best for a long term mix ratio? Thanks

    Sand, pumice and peat seem to be the consistent soil ingredients to good DF health. By the way do you still recommend Gary’s mix?

      @RAREDRAGONFRUIT  Год назад

      Yes and yes, absolutely. My personal mix is like Gary’s but I add chunky coconut coir, humic acid, and worm castings.

    ~70%-80% Sunshine #4 and ~20% to 30% pumice. 😊

    SunShine Mix #4 with Mycorrhizae is an ideal choice for both indoor and outdoor gardening. This high drainage mix is known for its consistent performance. Formulated with Canadian Sphagnum Peat Moss for increased moisture retention, optimum air exchange and high cation exchange capacity (CEC) plus coarse perlite for amplified root zone aeration. SunShine Mix #4 is the growers choice for a professional light weight growing medium. We include a multiple strain mycorrhizal blend, so you achieve maximum results. After the first 2 irrigations you will be in total control of your fertility program. The lime, gypsum and proprietary wetting agent combine to make SunShine Mix #4 with Mycorrhizae the professional quality mix which meets the needs of serious minded growers.

      We interviewed Gary a few years ago and have evolved from there. Gary's mix is peat moss, perlite, sand, and biochar.
