- i’m back with the full rough animatic to No Longer You from EPIC the music :] you can see where i changed brushes to try and pick up the pace so i could get to finishing this stage faster 👀 because i hope to color this since it’s simple enough for me to do !!
hopefully expect to see this colored in the near future since i’m now using a progra i’m comfortable with again lol.

and if you want a TLDR of the individual lore & then animatic here!:
🗝️Locke (the main guy singing) is the antagonist of my story; he's like some kind of god who tries to keep destiny on the right path and his goals are ultimately unknown.
🗡️Emil (guy being sung to; sword on back) is one of my main OC pair. He is an ex-royal knight and strayed off the path of his destiny by helping his Prince abandon the throne to become King.
🏹Mattias/Mat (Guy in the flashbacks of past/future) is the Prince/ex-prince. He is the other half of my main OC pair. He ran away with Emil and strayed off the path of his destiny.
So, for this animatic, I imagined Locke singing to Emil about everything that transpired across their journey to lead up to this point, because the apocalypse cannot be prevented at this point. And Emil can't save Mattias either, so he begs Locke to find a world/timeline where everything is safe for them. But ultimately, he can (maybe) only save Mattias and not save himself...? 👀
I won't spoil everything hfhfhhfh
It took me way too long to realize it's not "You are no longer capable of making this journey" but "At the end of this journey, you will no longer be yourself"
Well, seems like it took longer for odysseus hahah
It's funny bc he says he *sees* all that but the kicker is Tiresias is blind
lol i'm aware, but it's an OC animatic so it's meant to fit my characters :]
decided to finish this and rough out the rest of the animatic & just post it because i want to clean it up and possibly do flat colors >:] i really like this song a lot. so i thought i might share the whole animatic before i do that!
It's so interesting how Tiresias' wistful, all-knowing voice feels so different when you put your own character on top of it.
His demeanor is so distinctly unique compared to Tiresias yet the voice still fits so well I am in love.
I have been rewatching this over and over 😭😭 it deserves more views 😭😭😭
