Heya Tem The gold armour works as you say but at a drastically reduced capacity against cannibals, muddies and most mutants. It's a specialized defence against the "demons" in the final volcanic caves where it works much more effectively. For everything but Demons, you're much better off using regular armour types unless you have meds to burn. Also, if you pop some medicine, you can stay in your (time stopped) inventory screen until your health fills up to avoid taking damage and stopping the healing effect prematurely
Agreed. Golden armour is useless out in the world. Bone or creepy for that. Save the golden armour for the end game where it actually works. And by "works", it doesn't take any damage itself. It greatly reduces damage to your health by the demons. The armor itself does "nothing" in terms of losing effectiveness or pieces like the other types.
Studies in the real world have shown that immediately a person steps out in nature, like a forest, blood pressure decreases. May be related to your feeling in the game.
Haven't finished watching your video, so not sure if you did this. My recommendation is to put a bunch of log storages by your trees. Then have kelvin fill those up while you are building. By the time you run out of logs, he should have a pretty decent stockpile built up since he will be working near them while you're doing your thing. Then you can run over to that area and just send them down the zipline and get him to keep filling up if his order was finished. Rinse and repeat.
Just stand Kelvin in the fast moving stream tell him to stack logs there, build a dam downstream, clear cut the mountain top. Much quicker than a zip line. You cut he sends it down.

To fix your structural issue at the 9:36 mark: You have to first support the central pillar with a lower log. Then you can remove the half support log, remove the horizontal log, then it will let you remove the upper post and lower post. You cannot remove that half log support because there is nothing supporting the horizontal beam at that point. Since there is already another beam placed above it, there is no logic to let it snap down to the ground like a normal angle log would have done.
As some other people said, the golden armor isn't really armor for regular use, it's used for enemies in the end area who would otherwise obliterate you without it.
Watchin this makes me wish there was a game where it's just you, Virginia, and your son Kelvin hangin out and relaxin all the ding dong day and buildin stuff and just livin the good life. Ah, but I dream. The mutants are always lurking.
I TOTALLY will steal the design of that defense wall for me and my friend. XD I mean, since we cant add spikes to the walls like in the first part, we have to use what we have. And this design is actually the BEST i know till now.
Next I hope they add Kelvin's ability to open and shut the gates behind him. While I understand he's got a limited capacity, he's capable of cutting down trees and such so he should be capable of opening gates. Or they could add a settings option to turn on whether Kelvin has permissions to open and shut things, that way if you want you can keep him stupid.
