Hello! We switched the color from Red to Grey on the Standard Switchback Spring Cartridges a while back. They're the same Spring Cartridge but with a color change.

Are these good for plastic and leather boots?

It's going to depend on the specific boot you have. Regarding leather boots, the main thing to keep in mind is the thickness of the duckbill. There's a chance that the duckbill is too thin to fit properly in the Switchback bindings. Feel free to email us at [e-mail] to chat with our customer service team.
