love the vids mate, watched a lot of your crossing Australia series good to see your still repping the cannon and giving it a well deserved flogging. i really wanted that rear bar but heard a few people saying they could never get the Rear side assist shit working. did yours need to be recalibrated? Cheers John
Hey John, thanks for watching mate. Our rear bar is all good now. We had some issues with reverse sensors falling out. But I sorted that. The rear side radar was slightly out but I just bent the brackets a tiny bit so they point correctly. I believe this has been sorted in the newest ones. Definitely didn't need recalibration or anything. Mine has been trouble free for ages now 😀
Thats bloody awesome to hear mate! i was going to purchase one of them but just got a brand new towbar off marketplace for $150. just watched your wiring vid will order a harness this week and follow that :) thanks for the content mate keep it up!
@SIMUVERSEAU awesome!!! Best wiring kits are the plug and play with the Reed switch. The one i wired was a basic kit. Only difference is one will turn off the rear radar and one won't and will cause fault lights. But both still work :) Cheers mate
This is why I'll never sell my gq ,no sensors and the only electronics are in the cd player 😂😂...and after all these years of abuse i think there's less rust on the undercarriage than yours. Great video 👍👍👍

So far 75,000 zero problems with mine but great to know about a "did you turn it off and on again?" Fix. You need to treat these modern cars more like a computer. Most car companies will route wiring through other modules so if something goes it gave give false errors on other systems.
Looks like the ECU reading low battery voltage due to the hr on the negative terminal throwing most / all senses out - equivalent to a faulty battery - doesn’t take much if the battery voltage is below 12.4v - way to many electronics in vehicles today - most owners would have it trucked to the dealer.

To be fair to the GWM all the issues are due to the aftermarket mods. I’m impressed.
