Awesome tutorial, it just confirmed all the other 600 techniques I just learned. Everybody has a different approach to the appoggio, but yours is very easy to activate the diaphragm.. !
Thanks for your teaching! I've bought 2 of your courses, and look forward to starting soon :) I appreciate videos like this as well as your reactions to BTS etc.
You are realy great singer and vocal coach. It is very important to explain and show these fundamental stuf in singing, that nice building blocks, because many of us trying to sing extraordinaru, but we almost always forget that fundamental stuf that you show realy good here and I am very thankful because I find your videos on youtube.
I was practicing my Vocal or singing voice to be a good singer someday, being a good singer could make a huge change to my life. I can make money through singing in massive arena of contest. With money, I can travel If I travel, I could able to reach and meet Daneliya Tuleshova. That is why I am practicing hardly to pull my dream towards me. I wish I can make it, I wish God will give me hope.
That's limiting though: I find teaching how to actually have two voices, instead of one counter productive. If you treat the higher voice different to the lower voice, you will never be able to transition seamlessly from head-voice to chest voice on a high note. There will always be a "break".
I love these singing tips videos, I saw that you made a video on how to not always sing flat, but I tend to sing sharp. Would you be able to make a video
Thank you very much for tackling this subject since I've been hearing it forever. I have a question, should the lower abdomen muscles be strained for the duration of the phrase you're singing? For example, let's say I breathe in and sing a 10 second phrase or note, do I keep my muscles pressed for the 10 seconds?
Hello, excellent video, I have a question about the support, what happens is that I have managed to sing very well, I have developed a mixed voice, falsetto, head voice. Based on the support I feel pressure under the abdomen, in the pelvic area. But from one day to the next this stops working for me completely, I would appreciate some advice or another exercise besides the fact that it has appeared in the video, thank you. 😔
This might help.. i'm still working it out myself.. but.. people say different things when trying to explain support because their "are" two different movements happening for proper support to occur. When we breath in, the diaphragm "contracts" downward to create a vacuum for the air to spill into the lungs.. when singing we want to train the diaphragm to stay contracted (open) whilst we phonate..( its used to relaxing straight away and allowing the outer muscles to push the air back out as our bodies need to expel air from our lungs or we will die) When singing, the outer abdominal muscles will counter the open contracted diaphragm and push inward against it allowing the "right amount of air" to come out for the note.. so we have the diaphragm pushing down and out against our abs that are pulling in. we create a push pull type situation that after enough practice creates a very solid foundation of the right amount of air for our larynx to sing on.i think it comes more naturally to some than others. For me it feels quite unnatural at first but I'm hoping with more practice it becomes super strong and natural. fyi to train I'm just singing gentle in a comfortable range for me with just the tip of my chords and making sure that their is always that push/pull feeling going on below the ribs. Hope this helps.. maybe u have discovered something since posting.. @@MineCraft-nz9pg
Hi Adam, a singing school where I go right now, they teach the Complete Vocal Technique, where they use "pushing stomach in breathing", but another private teacher I've taken couple of lessons with lately teaches the Appoggio breathing. Which breath support technique do you think is the most efficient for me as a male pop singer?
I have a hard time with the inhalation! My stomach and throat tense up when I try to breathe down into my stomach. I can't breathe deep what do I really do wrong?
Hey adam, i have a serious question. Does singing almost everyday help improve your singing voice? And does it do you any damage? I really would appreciate it if you could answer this :)
I sing everyday and read notes as Loud as I can, i damaged my voice I guess 😀😭, my advice : Don't try to sing like your idols, don't shout thinking its belting, don't copy the growls, don't be overly satisfied with what you can do with your voice right now or in the bathroom.
I'm not very good at English but I like the way you react to a video👍. Please reaction to BTS Jungkook " MY TIME ". I really like the song, please reach to the song😢😢😢

Hi Adam, amazing tips. Could you explain how to support the sound when moving (walking) on the stage? Much appreciated. Rgds
Fresh cut for omer👌
You know it!
please let me know how much for private lessons-if available appreciate your time
super helpful exercise! thank you!
Nice
I’m in studio and afraid to cough 🤣🤣🤣🤣
so are you saying that falsetto is an unsupported sound?
I heard that in order to have good breath management we need to gently keep the abdominal inflated as we breathe out. Is that true?
Its so confusing for me 😭one coach said ABDOMEN scoop in and up , and the other said ABDOMEN down and out . What do these even mean? 😭
