Diffusion: Simple Diffusion vs Facilitated Diffusio
Simple diffusion occurs through the lipid bilayer, or pores or channels. In this, multiple molecules pass directly without any chemical interaction with the passage. So its a fast process. On the other hand, in facilitated diffusion, the diffusing substance interacts with the carrier protein chemically. Its a saturable process, and therefore, its slow. The factors affecting rate of diffusion are concentration, electrical and pressure gradient.

Kindly re-check and confirm, the passage of molecules through channels/pores is a facilitated diffusion not a simple diffusion as mentioned in the video.

All the movements of water in the body. Movements of oxygen and carbon dioxide. The list is endless.
