I can tell you were trying to keep your 'friend' happy in that conversation, and I get that, I was a major people pleaser in the past but you don't have to be nice in those situations. If someone crosses your boundaries it's better to stand up for yourself and tell them how you feel instead of saying sorry and "but you don't have to." Apologizing and softening the blow doesn't do anything for the situation, know your worth and tell them directly, if anyone makes you uncomfortable they don't deserve an apology because you're just stating how you feel and they need to understand what you are and aren't okay with. As someone who struggles with their appearance, I can’t imagine having to argue with one of my “friends” to try and get them to take my pictures off their account, especially if I’m literally being threatened to be doxxed. i still to this day cannot understand what's the reasoning behind sending someone their home address out of "good intentions" when you can just warn a person about their privacy without telling them you know there they live giving them a lifetime paranoia
