  • We feel unbelievably grateful for the experience we had at Schotia Safari Game Reserve.
Justin, his family and the team showed us around the reserve. Justin shared so much information with us about the wildlife, the habitat and the history of this reserve. It was incredibly eye-opening.
We would also like to say that we are by no means experts regarding rhino poaching. We have spent a lot of time researching the matter and learning from Justin and wanted to share this with you as we feel it's something that maybe isn't talked about enough.
Seeing the devastating effects first-hand was shocking. The smell is something we will never forget. I know that's not pleasant but that is reality.
We really hope you enjoy this video. Leave us a comment, like this video and make sure you turn on the notification bell so you don't miss out on future videos from us.
Thanks so much for all of the support guys, it means the world to us.

Absolutely majestic. I'm guessing that less than 1% of 1% of people will ever experience something like this. I hope you're feeling incredibly blessed. So happy for you 🎉

I know, we are very fortunate. One of the reasons I think we were invited is so that we can show what other people can actually experience. Since this video we’ve met people that have thanked us for sharing and they have actually booked to go see Justin and his game lodge. It’s so nice that we can help businesses through sharing our travel experiences.

@@TheLandyExpedition I'm super glad to hear that! Impressively virtuous cycle ...
They offer you an unforgettable experience, you drive awareness and business, more people get to have life changing experiences, which raises more appreciation for the animals, and an increased focus on poaching prevention and the need for environmental/ecological preservation. A relatively minor act can lead to dramatic results :) thanks for using your reach for "good"!

So much brilliant animal footage! ❤ That scene with the croc in the water was intense!
And while tough, the rhino footage definitely deserves to be shared. Hopefully the future will get better for these beautiful animals. ❤ thanks for taking us along for the journey ✌️

What an awesome video. Thanks for sharing the RINO insert, it is important to share the reality and appreciated that you share it. What a stunning place we going to Addo in July to get our biannual fix. Schotia will be in our bucket list. FYI best pies are at the Nanaga farmstall.

My father made the first dart gun in Zimbabwe in the 60's.
He converted a 410 and made the darts to fit.
Accompanied Ron Thompson on the first operation to move Rhinos.
Through this work numbers grew substantial.
Now all that hard work being undone by Chinese expansion in Africa.

Hey, sorry the for the delayed reply!
We generally shoot on a 28-70 3.5-5.6 Sony lense, for this video we also used our bigger lense which is a 70-350 4.5-6.3 G OSS. We shoot on a Sony A7iii.
I don’t know much about lenses at all but these two have worked well for our videos.
Hope that helps, thank you for your comment!
