I definitely feel the struggle, I'll see a Lagoona doll I want for like $50 when she doesn't even have her leg fins, which is a deal breaker for me, and I see people selling INDIVIDUAL leg fins for $10-$15 plus shipping and it's absurd

i get what ur saying! ive been searching for class cloe for YEARS, everytime i see her 90+.. im getting to the point where i dont want to keep collecting, the prices are absurd, i get lucky in flea markets sometimes. i do agree, it is hard finding dolls for a reasonable price since every person u see selling dolls r out of there mind.. i want my dolls complete but these dolls being 100+ complete isnt normal these people r actually fucking crazy, its just so annoying. (im not able to find dolls for good prices on mercari and these new fees that u talked about makes me even more angry.. my collection is small because of these prices.. i care if they are complete, but i dont at the same time..)

I just started collecting Bratz since 2022 at 25 years old. Bratz were my childhood as a Gen Z, and it sucks that I can buy dolls for affordable prices because they are near my college tuition. I can't even find them at thrift stores now.
I'm fortunate to get a few Bratz, sadly some without accessories and a few flaws, but I'm happy and will try to scout for them. But again, I had to break the bank to buy Twiins Phoebe and Roxxi for $90. My limit is $100. Some of my other dream ones are wayyy past my budget. Sadly, there will always be overpriced dolls and scalpers, and they wont be stopping anytime soon.
I do get envious of other Bratz collectors who jumped on the bandwagon beforehand. There are times I regret giving away my old Bratz. But I will stop comparing myself to other, be patient, and in the meantime buy the Bratz that around my budget/buy repros, until I get my dream ones.
They're just dolls at the end of the day.

I try to stick to the retail prices like £45 is most I would pay for inbox & out of box(but complete with box,etc)
but with the alumni dolls I pay £60/70-£152 (the retail prices)
the only doll I very much overpaid was a original wave 1 Ghoulia yelps just missing her earrings & necklace but she came with her dairy,pet,stand.brush,box,etc

You have to focus on bratz that are cheap and unpopular. No one liked featherageous but i copped an unboxed, complete jade for 17$. Now in the same condition, shes 80$.
Unfortunately, i had no idea winter wonderland Jade now sells for over 200$
I purchased her nib many years ago for 70$ but i have no intent on reselling her.

It's so hard as an Australian collector, with our tragic Australian dollar, on eBay nude dolls are like $80 with $80 for postage 😂😅🥲 I just can't with the postage

im in canada, so we dont have mercri here but yeh those buyer fees would turn me off from buyin there anyway tbh.. thats why i also dont buy from ebay bc usually shippin and or prices are high then theres also fees ugh so its rare that i buy there. so honestly bein in canada the only 2 places i buy its either if i get lucky and find a good deal for a doll on fb marketplace in canada and the seller ships and listing isnt already pending which honestly lately everytime i msg a seller im too late or they dont ship or ghost (specially last year omfg..i was soo frustated it bc it was for such good harder to find dolls and shit was always happenin) or maybe ill buy from fb doll groups (within canada too bc buyin from outside canada isnt worth it way too expensive) but its rare. or poshmark canada but its rare theres good dolls and good prices there but ive gotten lucky a few times. i havent really been buyin second hand dolls tbh (these last weeks i got a few eah dolls from fb marketplace and or poshmark) but other than that nope. i havent been shoppin on vinted europe (my sis lives in portugal) bc my sis told me to stop buyin dolls bc she doesnt wanna pick em up for me and have em in her room and have to send even more, so for months i havent bought any dolls there which sucks bc i feel like im missin out on sooo many good dolls and deals bc its soo cheap specially for mh. plus she has 2 big packages of dolls and playsets to send to me.. bratz i dont really buy anymore unless its one i dont already have and its good price. rn im mostly focusing on buyin mh/eah and catchin up to some g3 mh and rh/sh dolls on amazon ca and then also creepos which i got but waitin for my cleo to ship ughh and im gettin new operetta. im also not as picky with my bratz if they have lip chip and are missin their clothes etc. i dont want haircuts tho. with mh and eah i now prefer em a bit more complete ngl

Bratz dolls are not even the prettiest dolls compared to RH and other doll lines to be that expensive.. i think the reason they are that expensive is because they are rare...they are so hard to find in good condition, nib so expensive

Idk you can say rh is higher quality but I wouldn’t say they’re prettier..
