Some microwaves are a little less than 30ins wide

The WIDTH of the microwave absolutely does matter. I have cabinets that are less than 30 inches, and I'm having a terrible time finding any that will fit. The distance between my cabinets is 29.5 inches. I have yet to locate any microwaves that narrow that are over-the-range type. I guess the installer will have to tear the edges off the cabinets, and that's a terrible thought.
