  • Today we make our way to Cape Peron, the most northerly point in the Francois Peron National Park. On our way, we check out the incredible Bottle Bay and find a little friend on the tracks. After reaching the top we check out Skipjack Point and head off to find camp at Herald Bight.

    Guichenault Point is amazing, much more "off the beaten track" but not that far from Denham 👍👍
    The sunrise at Herald can be so stunning. Low to the water and the sun lights up clouds from underneath. Next time do yourself a favour and give an overnight ago 😊😊

    Thank you. This is a great episode.
    The track and beach conditions are quite different every time. I avoided Herald Bight this year because it was on shore and very soft on the beach last time I went over to that side. Your trip there looked easy enough so I'll try again next time.
    I can't understand why people don't go straight to sand pressure (my go to is 18psi) to preserve the tracks - and with the compressor provided at the park entrance, it's made easy for everyone.
    We were there mid July this year. You must have been there around then too.
    All your hard work on taking and editing episode footage is paying off! Very pro and it's appreciated.
    Maybe consider an automatic gearbox Daniel 😂

    With your videography skills, you need to start up a cooking channel or segment. Those bacon and eggs looked ridiculously good!

    Hi, bit off topic. I got the idea for diff lock protection plate from one of ya previous vids. We have just come back from trip to caps and managed to get a stick caught in rear throttle controller cable which put a lot of warning lights on DMAX and disabled speedo and few other things, $1380 to fix two rear wiring looms. do ya know of any protection for that wiring ??

      @explorebound  10 месяцев назад +1

      Oh that's painful - I'll have to keep an eye on that issue for mine too! Unfortunately I don't know of any current protection for that, however it seems companies are regularly bringing out new plates (I've now got Munji protection plates for my CV boots to shield them from sticks etc) so hopefully more continue to become available.

    You guys drove past the no vehicles sign at the end of bottle bay, it's only for pedestrian access, please don't advertise this to your audience, my apologies for my previous ignorance comment 🙏 obviously the sign had been removed by someone again.

    • @explorebound
      @explorebound  9 месяцев назад

      There was no sign there when we visited, we’re very careful where we drive.

      @@exploreboundplease check with DBCA before sharing any future content from the world heritage listed national park as that beach is for pedestrians only, a very sensitive cultural area, now everyone thinks its ok to drive past the sign, that may have been removed by someone prior to your visit, but be assured that beach is not for vehicle access in the future, just doing my part in keeping the place in pristine condition and making sure people are aware of the cultural significance of that beach and especially the sand dunes beyond. Thank you 🙏

      @@explorebound I would also ask you to please change that episode 4 cover photo as that is definitely past the sign that should be there stopping vehicle traffic before the red cliff starts, thank you 🙏
