    What if nothing gets hot when I inject voltage? I've got 2 laptops at home that I've found shorts on their boards but when I inject voltage nothing gets hot. I went up to 3A and nothing. Unfortunately I can't afford a thermocam yet so I just use my hand but with 3A being drawn I would expect something to get really hot, right?

    Hey man I have one question, how do you know the value of those small caps? What if they are other values that you're not used to?

    • @pupil2720
      @pupil2720 3 года назад +1

      Since it's a bypass cap it'll be used to pass AC noise to ground for filtering. The only thing that would happen if the cap value is lower is an increase in capacitive reactance to the AC signal. It should still be able to filter high frequency noise.

    • @southerncharity7928
      @southerncharity7928 3 года назад +1

      @@pupil2720 is that literally audible noise?

    • @pupil2720
      @pupil2720 3 года назад +1

      @@southerncharity7928 No no nothing like that. Noise in the DC signal is like voltage fluctuations. Filter helps make it more smooth.

    good day, i have been watching your repairs for almost 2 years now, and no matter how small the part you fix it often. but you give a lot of explanation about everything, but what many people search is nowhere well explained: how to clean your soldering tip, and how to store it neatly .. you always have good advice, and many nonsense videos that also do not explain how people can do that. i believe you and the flux you sell they have as always from china rubbish flux look a like lol. greetings from NL gr st
