- The woman accused of driving while under the influence of drugs and crashing into a retention pond, killing her three children, withdrew her no-contest plea in court Thursday.
Leticia Gonzales had previously pleaded no contest to one count of operating while intoxicated causing death as part of a tentative deal with the Ottawa County Prosecutor's Office, Gonzales' attorney and the judge overseeing the case. That count includes the deaths of all three children. The two other counts against her were dismissed.

How did she deserve that kind of break? 1 year? The prosecutor is a piece of sh*t!

She deserves 15 years in prison for each of the boys. The Judge sees her for what she is . A selfish drug user who doesn’t deserve to be called a Mother . They should put photos of the boys in her cell so she has to look at them every day and see what her selfish actions caused . And the person who said she is already punished enough for the loss of the boys , no she isn’t . All she cares about is getting high. Seeing her behavior in court says it all , she only cares about herself and thinks she shouldn’t have to pay the consequences for having caused the death of the boys. She was proudly showing of the new car she got , what kind of a Mother does that after loosing 3 of her children in
an accident caused by her?! If don’t even want to think about what would have happened if her stepchildren would have been in the car as well that morning . Anyone who drives under the influence of drugs or Alkohol and ends up causing harm or death to anyone else in the car needs to be held responsible and face the consequences. She and only she is to blame for causing the death of these 3 innocent little boys . Nobody forced her to take another dosage of the methadone and it wasn’t the first time she did so.
These babies deserved so much better in and after life 😔

Regardless to the courtside of it. This mother is already serving a life sentence of knowing she was responsible of killing her own children and if you don't know the after effects of having a daughter that blames herself then keep your opinion to yourself. At some point if she's being treated for PTSD and Depression the county jail probably is not treating but even so after whatever sentence she is given , at some point , she's going to be a high risk for taking her own life, because of this, nobody knows what she was going thru before this happened or why she took the prescription that she did she will answer to her maker and I'm sure she has asked his forgiveness . This is a horrible situation. Period for her family and the father of her childrens family.
