The voiceover of Kate Mulgrew and Michael Levin in the scenes was surprising. I guess it might have been difficult doing the audio overseas at the same time as the video at that time?
Not difficult. Expensive. They couldn’t afford to pay a film sound crew. The same thing was done on As the World Turns in 1980. Only ATWT later dubbed the dialogue over the film footage with the words not always matching the lip movements.
@@DNBursky As the World Turns went to Athens, Greece in September 1980 and filmed scenes that aired through January of 1981. It was for a story with Kim Stewart and the Andropolous brothers Nick and Steve.
I'm sorry, but this is such *bad* acting. How did this win any awards?? Her husband dies and she sits there "He's... dead..." Just bad! Kate is the only reason to watch this.
Thanks for sharing. RIP Michael Levin.
One of the best soaps in daytime history
There were three Star Trek actors in this episode: Kate Mulgrew (Voyager), Catherine Hicks (Star Trek 4) and Andrew J. Robinson (Deep Space 9).
That's crazy!
I wish she would have stayed on the show
I was wondering what airdate this RH episode had. Now, I know. Thank you for sharing this!
No Problem at all.
I uploaded Ryan's Hope - October 15, 1976.
Losing KM was the beginning of the slow decline of Ryan’s Hope. The first 5 years of the show was great soap.
Mary Ryan literally came back from her honeymoon a brand new person.
I loved Ryan’s hope. A very different soap opera .
Love Wesley Addy . He went on to play the Great Cabot Alden the patriarch of Corinth's first family on Loving

Wait, Garek was in this episode? No scenes with Janeway however.
She was the best Mary. Nothing negative toward the other ladies, Kate is the best.
What an odd episode to leave on.
Who is Jill to judge anyone???
Kathleen Tolan was Mary no.3, was she a good replacement for Kate?
Absolutely not. She was the worst of all the replacements.
@@Nigelsmom2136 She was supposedly very good friends with Helen Gallagher, and was hired for the role
