Though I will say with John and Jason they seem pretty much less inbred than them being more distantly related as cousins rather than siblings and the fact that they’ve likely had more socialization growing up.

His hands are shaking. He's uncomfortable. Still, this man sits up straight, looks Mark in the eyes, and speaks his truth - even when it's ugly. That's courage. Accountability is hard in private with our closest allies. Holding yourself accountable in front of a camera knowing thousands of strangers will see? It's admirable. I hope Jason finds a support system that will remind him that he is not just the sum of his past mistakes. I hope that he is able to hug his girls soon. I hope he finds this video of himself on RUclips and starts reading the comments and sees that he has a whole bunch of people who see the good in him and are rooting for him to see it in himself. Watching this video ignites my hatred once again for the cyclical drug use and supply that we have in our country. It destroys people who have been abused and are emotionally wounded and those who are down on their luck, poor, and/or disadvantaged. I've watched several vids from Soft White Underbelly and the respectful questions reveal the real humanity behind the face of their problems. Thank you for sharing these lives with us. Each are worthy for us to lift up with empathy and care instead of judgment.

I can see the pain in your eyes, I can feel your pain in my heart from the other side of the world, (Australia).
We all have a past and I don’t think that anyone reaches their mid 40’s without having some regrets about things they have done in their past. However, I don’t think that there are that many people who have the courage to share their mistakes and regrets with a usually unforgiving internet!
It hurts my heart to hear stories like yours, a young man of 20 and I have known plenty of 14 or 15 year old girls who look, dress and act like they are 18/19 years old.
Unfortunately most 14 year old girls don’t realise just how much jeopardy they are putting a guy in when he is just over the legal age and they lie to him, telling him that they are 18.
If I was to attempt to give you any advice, I would recommend that you look for a different way to make a living, if you can. By that I mean, be your own boss. There are so many ways to make money online, it can just take time and a decent amount of research.
Unless you have some sort of talent that you can work at, or if you are artistic in any way.
There are just so many different platforms online now, where you can sell all sorts of things.
I mean, look at what Mark does, travelling around the country, interviewing fascinating people from all walks of life and spending time with such amazing people like your family and then sharing it all with us online.
For a lot of people, this is the only way that they get to see how other people live. People in different countries, different states, different cultures.
It is also the only way a lot of people in the world get to travel, by viewing other countries through someone else’s eyes and through their videos.
All you need is a decent mobile phone with decent camera quality and to do some research online and perhaps a few courses about editing, filming etc.
I hope you manage to find something to do that brings you more happiness than you thought was ever possible.
I saw a twinkle in you eye a couple of times when you smiled or laughed, it softens you, which makes you more approachable. By softens you, I just mean that you don’t look so intense or slightly intimidating.
I appreciated seeing that side of you, even if it was only for a second.

There is wide attention to this family for reasons of genetics. But it should be made clear that worldwide, in isolated communities, there are lots of families who have this issue to some extent. You should never forget like Jason says, that in their core and apart from genetics they are just a family. They care for each other and live healthy family lives. according to his official charges he "violently se*ually assaulted" (the exact words) a girl LESS THAN 13 years old when he was 22. that doesn't exactly sound like consensual se*...but even if it was, if a girl is 12 or under 1) most people are going to be able to tell she isn't of age or 2) if he met her because she was friends with his mutual friends, then those mutual friends should have certainly known her age if he bothered to ask them. he knew she was young if he had a conversation with her about her age. also, this man is on the national sex registry. when he moved from Illinois to West Virginia he was supposed to notify of them of his new location but he didn't. also, he was pulled over driving a vehicle he hadn't registered either. I get why this is important. if there is a child..or anyone I guess...is abducted in that area, the cops will want to know what predators are living in the area and what they drive in case that vehicle was spotted near the crime scene/cruising by the local elementary school over and over etc. so I can't praise this man like a lot of you are doing.

He was 22 and she was listed as being under 13 so, 12 and under! Him claiming he was 20 and she was 14 is a bold faced lie told in an effort to minimise the depravity of his actions. Him then going onto claim she lied about her age which also implies she wanted it to happen is even worse and let’s just THINK for a second if that were true. Any guesses what 12 year olds looked like back then? Here’s one.. THEY LOOKED LIKE F’ING 12 YEAR OLDS! The fact that people are so quick to believe a registered sex offender who even now cannot admit the full truth of what he did nor stop himself from making excuses.. “I was on drugs, she said she was 18, I was hanging around the wrong crowd”. As though sexually assaulting a child is something you stumble into doing by accident. Come on! If that was your daughter, you wouldn’t be so quick to praise him for his “honesty” and the fact that you can only empathise or grasp the magnitude of child sexual abuse once you centre yourselves and make it about you is speaks VOLUMES about you.

When I was in high school I lived in Morgantown WV. Me and some friends drove to Boone county WV and found the dancing outlaw jesco white. We hung out with him and his family for the day. This was way before the family was famous. Great day
