This did show a different side of North Korea it showed up the average people have normal routines and lives and just want to be happy. which proves to the world they're not a bunch of terrorist like the average American says. We need to find a resolution of peace so no children or people have to die because of two governments that can't get along even though we have no reason to bother each other.

    Pyongyang is basically a propaganda city. In North Korea, the people don't have the right to freedom of movement, meaning the government can control where people can and can't live. They make Pyongyang a city for the social elites and the rich. Anywhere else in North Korea is completely different and there are young children forced to pick-pocket people as a way of living. Also, there are huge prison/labor camps where people who are "politically unreliable" and their families are sent to do hard labor for 15 hours a day, 7 days a week on a diet with no protein and are tortured if they don't meet work quotas or just if the guards feel like it. Pyongyang is not North Korea, it is a propaganda city where the rich live the high life. Most North Koreans struggle to get by and live in poverty. My perception is not changed in the slightest.

    • @EpicAMV911
      @EpicAMV911 6 лет назад +14

      Shawn sincerely you are a FUCKING IDIOT do you really think they run these prisons like some half assed day care? Where are you going to find this sharp object and how are you going to hide it from your armed guards? Do you think this is like American prison? You dont get tooth brushes you can fashion into shives buddy. Even if you do find something sharp the moment you pull it on a guard you're going to get beaten so severely and put in the hole without any food, youd wish you'd never even tried it. You think you know it all until your human spirit is broken completely.

    • @EpicAMV911
      @EpicAMV911 6 лет назад +6

      Furthermore a very popular tactic N. Koreans like to use is threatening your family on the outside. So would you really shiv your guard knowing your kids might be slaughtered for it?

    • @EpicAMV911
      @EpicAMV911 6 лет назад +6

      Just try to imagine this a starving prisoner barlely 90 LBS challenges a heavily armed and trained Guard. with a crude sharp object, do you really think you could get his neck? really? And then even then if you somehow succeed you stab him in the neck and he's bleeding out on the ground, then what? The other guards are just going to shoot you? LMFAO maybe if you're lucky and they're panicking for some reason, otherwise they're just going to surround you and beat you to hell with batons.

      This man is a worthless piece of human garbage. He paid thousands of US dollars to a regime that's literally comparable to the Third Reich, thereby funding, among other things, said labor camps, which are the *least* egregious of the 3 tiers of concentration camps that an insanely high percentage of North Korean civilians must endure. (Interesting that the labor camps are the only ones he mentions)
      Furthermore, this shameless "man" bowed down to the statues of the Kims (this is a requirement of all visitors to NK) shortly before taking the much-seen selfie in which he is for some reason smiling while posing in front of two of the worst people in human history, objectively speaking. This sorry excuse for a human being deserves no subscribers, no respect, and should be prosecuted for intentionally contributing to some of the worst atrocities that exist in today's world.
      If you want to know what North Korea is really like, please search Yeonmi Park, who is uploading *daily* RUclips videos recounting her experiences as an average North Korean civilian before she escaped this *literal Hell on Earth* just to have to endure sex trafficking and crossing the Gobi Desert in pursuit of the freedom to fight for the basic human dignity of her people.

    There was a girl that escaped North Korea. She always witnessed how the military government executed her loved ones. She escaped North Korea with a compass, she followed the stars through the Gobi Desert. She escaped North Korea because according to her, there was no freedom. Her friend's mother got exucuted in front of her all because she was watching a romantic movie. According to the woman, there is no Romeo and Juliet. People don't have the right to do romantic stuff, there's no wifi, and people don't have the right to update on the internet because there is NO INTERNET!

    Going on holiday to north korea doesn't show what it's actually like. When you go there they have pretty much a tour restricting you on where you can go and what you can do.

    It seems I went to almost exactly the same places as you. Everything was more or less fine, but after 24 hours there I started noticing the cracks in the facade. I come from a very small town in Easter Europe and a few decades ago people used to just disappear in our town. The atmosphere in NK really resonated with the stories I heard. Besides, I was with a particularly obnoxious Chinese group and you could see the fear in our tour guides' eyes when they were unable to control the group for even a few seconds.
