amazing the conceptions you have of the Country known a lot of people go there and come back unless you go with ulterior motives and those you hear about, usually have. Perhaps go yourself and find out and stop relying on narratives?
But, you asked the wrong question... What does a North Korean citizen have to do to earn the equivalent of $10? THAT is the question! I'm betting he has to work all week!!
North Korea’s GDP per capita is $1,300 USD per year. Divide by 12 months is $108.33 per month. Divide by 30 days is $3.61 per day. You would have to work about 3 days to get $10, and that’s 24/7 work, so let’s say they worked for 12 hours a day. That would be almost a week worth of work to get $10.
North Korean people actually seem pretty nice & friendly. Even though the United States 🇺🇸 & North Korea 🇰🇵 don't really have a healthy relationship, that doesn't really effect the relationships between American 🇺🇸 & North Korean 🇰🇵 citizens.
If you want to see MORE about North Korea, there’s a great vlog by the channel called The People. The guy is Russian, and has balls bigger than Jupiter He got into secret stores, took a train, and drank some viper juice. Drew also has a few more north Korean videos as well.

There are supermarkets in Pyongyang that allow tour groups to visit and exchange money before shopping in them. You are expected to spend all of the exchanged money during the visit though. Technically it is illegal to take KRW out of the country when you leave, but they rarely check.
I have tons of DPRK currency, notes, coins, even some cheques.

Did you ever venture beyond the facades? Just beyond those pretty buildings are extremely depressing slums.
Wow! That's so cool!!
@@austinbevis4266 unfortunately we are not allowed to travel to any place without accomplished by a tour guide so it’s difficult for us to discover the ‘true side’ of the country behind the curtain.
I still remember one night our tour guide bring us to a local pub and share a bit of his feeling about the country. He said he’d like to travel and see the world more if he had a chance but it’s nearly impossible for him to do so, he is not even allowed to travel freely within the country. And all the information they have been receiving are given by the government while they have no internet and other sources to validate it. So if the Kim’s said they are richer and living in a better situation than the ppl in the south they can only believe so.
Ofcouse he show 200% believing in what the govern told him but I think he have doubt in some area ( just my assumption. Not exactly what he told us).
So to conclude I think we can only see the ‘true DPRK’ while one day there will be a more open and liberated government operating the country

The fact that this video makes it seem like It’s fun in North Korea is mind-blowing.
If you don’t break their laws and follow the preset script, in honesty it’s fun in the sense that you know the people there are trapped and doing this to present you the customer a good time like a sweat shop, but a strict one for the customers too. Why is dictatorship so difficult for you?
It is fun but only for tourists.

North Korea (before Covid) used to be one of the safest countries to visit. I mean they want to make a good impression
But, you asked the wrong question... What does a North Korean citizen have to do to earn the equivalent of $10? THAT is the question! I'm betting he has to work all week!!
More like all year..
