Stoicism is the medicine to mental illnesses a lot of humans are suffering from, what a nice piece.. How I wish this could be taught in schools in my country Nigeria.

Most times I dont like being nice or kind to people. Because I dont like when people are mean disrepectful to me in return. So I try not to let my guard down and keep myself stoic.

That's generally a good video - there are several very good points in it (like Seneca's "We are most often frightened than hurt...", the "square" breathing, to focus on your own performance and prepare better and find confidence in your preparedness...).
However, there is a bit of "garbage" between the main ideas - I don't mean that offensively, but only in the technical sense that there are too many irrational generalizations used to fortify the main point, which imho is counter-productive - the main point not just of this video, but the whole channel is the rational approach, and while irrational fragments can help some (that resonate with that particular fragment) they're not bound in logic, and are ultimately not reproducible (not reliably anyway).
The trouble with the irrational "arguments" is that if they don't resonate with the viewer they're just creating noise (and I guess it's possible to be misunderstood and even have opposite effect).
If your main goal is mindfulness and clarity of mind, then distracting thoughts are unwanted.
Don't get me wrong, most of humanity in all of its history have used irrational reinforcing techniques - create otherwise meaningless ritual that gives you the illusion of control and focus, and it might work, might work even most of the time, at least when the only problem is your insecurity - but it's bound to fail when you face external challenges, because your irrational ritual is just inadequate method to handle them.
Most life-couches methods are actually this type - irrational inspiring confidence, but with very little or no rationality - so they can work at least partially for people that respond to these irrational "arguments" and it won't work, and might even hurt others (at least by not actually handle the problem).
There are many example for social anxiety, but one that comes to mind is singing - even if your criteria for the performance isn't very high, there are some basic things you MUST make to make an Ok performance. Like know the lyrics and sing them in time and in rhythm (not to mention correct pitch, but that's not the point here).
So here's the example - I know the lyrics of the songs I sing, I can write it down from my memory - no problem; but if I try to sing without reading it I easily draw blanc, which obviously ruins the whole performance most often catastrophically :)
Having the lyrics and reading them all the time however robs of the performance - it's not fatal, but it's not ideal.
The lyrics are just an example, anxiety affects all the aspects of singing performance. I gave singing as an example, because it's challenging even if you know the lyrics and can hit the notes correctly - mostly because it's time-critical - you only have one chance to make the next performance good.
I think methods to optimize your focus in limited time would be the best way to prepare and boost your confidence (and hopefully eliminate embarrassing mistakes)
