A sweet little 8W + 8W SE amp. Haha, mine also sits atop an unused NAD356BEEG integrated amp. I run mine into a pair of 90Lt transmission line, 3 way floorstanders, with a sensitivity of 96db/spl. Have used the supplied tubes, as well as JJ 6L6GC's, Gold Lion KT88's. For my ears and preference, the best combo is new TungSol pre's, with JJ EL34 power's, and running in ultralinear. Also a fun kit to build, very easy and concise directions. Thanks for posting. Why any dislikes of this vid???

Hello. I think about 9 watts and half in a Ultra Linear position. But these are just numbers! Sometimes, even with speakers whose performance is average (like 87 Db), the result is very good. It all depends on the waiting, the sound volume of the listening, the size of the room that should not be too big. Of course, this amp must be set to work in pentode or ultra-linear. The best for this amp is the Psvane KT88-T II Premium, but they are expensive.

@@douxreveur131 Thanks, I may try KT-88 tubes at some point. I was on the fence about buying this amp considering 8-ish watts does not seem to be a lot on paper, but was very surprised how well it was able to push three-way floor standing speakers with 12" woofers using NOS USA made 6L6GC tubes (Amp was used and the stock Solvtek tubes tested positive for shorts and one with very low emission upon arrival). I have a huge stock pile of 6L6GCs and those provided plenty of volume & bass for most listening circumstances in a medium sized room with high ceiling.

It's the Electro Harmonic 6L6EH supplied by the company. However, I have used Golden Lion KT88 and others as well. At the moment I enjoy the Russian EL34.
