Welcome to my vlog of the Almarine Weekend 2020, this boat meeting takes place every year.
Boaters from all over the UK and even Guernsey come together for this Almarine Weekend to show of their amazing Small Speed Boats. The Almarine Weekend is a great get together to bring your Almarine Seafire, Meteor and even Mitcham Marine Spitfire or Apollo…
Over the years many other Small Speed Boats and Not so Small Speed Boats have joined in and helped grow this Small Speed Boating meeting.
Its so great to be involved in this Small Speed Boat meeting, not only are the Boats amazing but the owners of the boats are amazing people too.. So friendly and helpful.
Best Small Speed Boat in the world.. Seafire, Meteor, Spitfire and Apollo.
Designed by John Neate, and a development of his earlier Spitfire speedboats, the small but mighty Seafire now has something of a cult following online. The 9ft Spitfires were originally built by John’s company Mitcham Marine in Surrey, before he relocated to Norfolk in the late 1960s where he continued to produce the boats in a small yard in the town centre of Diss. In the early 1970s he approached local company Alma Components, run by Doug Bartlett and Jim Price, seeking help with the electronics and a new company, Almarine, was formed. Manufacture was moved to a purpose built building at the back of Alma’s factory on Park Road, the original boat design being modified to produce the new outboard powered 10ft 6in Seafire and its water jet twin the Meteor.

Ant's World yeah I was try some cinematic stuff right over the sea filming a Thames barge and something hit mine so I turned it to see a huge beast of a steven seagull proper angry lol

Was intending to go to looe 2022 in my 11ft sealine but intend to use a glastron 167 instead to spend all day at sea.

Hello 👋 its a small village in Cornwall (uk) called Looe
I had two Apollos. The later one was via a dodgy workshop in west London and it was fragile junk. I got into RIB's after that. Is anyone making something similar these days?
