More models coming soon
At my age with the shakes I just can't build those little models like I was once able to do. I work with the large scale models now and I seem to have more fun, although I think the price of models today has gone thru the roof, lol. I've been at this for more than five decades now and started building models when I was ten or so I guess and if you can't have fun building them, then I simply toss them aside. I've tossed a few kits away or gave them away that were no fun to build. Adding those decals to that tail rotor looked like a real pain in the ass like you said. I built a couple of the 1/32 & 1/35 scale Huey choppers and those came out nice. Perhaps one day I'll post some pics on here like y'all do. I do mainly the 1/35 scale armored vehicles now, the WWII stuff and I just picked myself up that new Revell Phantom F-4G in 1/32 scale which I'm looking forward to building. I'm going to finish it in the IAF design and just sent off for the original decals from Israel to make it authentic. You do some nice work there young man, thanks for sharing.
This gives me memories of when I built westlands in the uk
Fantastic work on the Sea King. Well built, Congrats.
A beautifully built and painted Jungly Sea King very well done. Excellent video as well.
In my view is definitely one of the best successful helicopters in history in all variants
wow!!!!! you're awesome, your models are life like. I'm learning a lot from your videos.
Nice!.. I have an old Airfix 1/72 Sea King for the Apollo missions... Buzz Aldrin came glhere in 2010 and spoke about his experience in space.. thanks👍🇳🇿
Thank you! Wow great inspiration and back story for the build, best of luck and thanks for watching :)
turned out a lovely build well done
SeaKing turned out great. The new molded kit looks very detailed. Build, painting, and markings....top notch work. Too bad there's no aircrew.Bill.
Well done, looks realy great
Looking great
Nice, I fancy building the Hasegawa 1 48 Sea king soon.
Excellent build
Thank you and thanks for watching :)
that is awesome what a great build I do like the sea king but I tend to stay clear of helicopters coz of their rota but all round great vid
I`m building this right now, so this video is great reference point. I noticed the canopy gap at 3:19. I experienced this too, otherwise it is a very good kit. Superbly finished in this case.
Nice build on the chopper
Superb
Thank you and thanks for watching :)
Right on, good job, looks great. Thx
Thank you and thanks for watching :)
@@TheInnerNerd At 1/72 scale you nailed it.
As a member of 845 squadron during the Bosnia conflict where we were call sign " Yankee", we were the only commando squadron to Tiger stripe our aircraft, So if you want authentic cab recognition, remove the "W" prefix and replace with "Y". Cab prefixes went through A to K so you can have YA, whiskey call signs are for 846 squadron aircraft that did not have this camouflage design assigned to any of its assets.
Er....Whisky call sign is 848 shipmate....I was also 845 B flt strangely enough
I did say we were Yankee ops for 845, not W for Whiskey
846 was V call sign!
@@daveco4645 my bad, getting my suffixes gafuddled, not ever been 846 my self, thanks for putting me straight, 20 years since I was last on a flight.
Excellent model, just details but when folded 3+4 blades would hang much lower. The lashing point is just above where the rear of the hull meets the tail. Also what happened to the aircrewmans (bubble) window? Thanks looking at making one myself. Would have to be callsign VH. Ex 846 NAS Engineer
Nice build, I’ve been in 314👌🏻🚁
Thank you an thanks for watching :)
Did you drill the holes in the floor like the instructions say? Great work here
Thank's Cameron! Yes I did, can't remember the size but can remember doing it
I've sat inside a Royal Navy HC4 and I would say yours is less shiny and a tad over-weathered, but nevertheless beautiful.
Nice build, what wash are u used for inner fuselage? Thanks
Sonyc7 Thanks. I used Humbrol black wash. I.dont use this any more though I ise Abtielung 502 oils, thinned to a wash they are much better. If you watch my more recent videos you'll see my new method
Which airbrush are you using? Thanks
Wena oye una pregunta yo la parte de los aciento de atras los largos la parte del piso lo pinte de 85 que pasa daña el trabajo ono porque ese lo tengo en amarillo espero tu respuesta gran trabajo
What was the green colour used? Was it the stock humbrol that the kit calls for?
Dave K Its #155 olive Drab. Not the exact colour from the kits' call out but is more like the real thing when washed weathered
Thanks
can that spin
What psi are u spraying at
It depends on what paint I'm spraying but heres a quick reference.
Primer: 12psi
Paint: 10psi
Metallics / Clears: 8psi
I have recently uploaded a video which focuses on paint thinning and airbrushing in more detail here if you want to take a look.

Thanks for watching :)
Hmmmm i dont understand why your way of paint and weathering job is so different here, you didnt feel for this kit?
how do i not get my glass to fog up
The fogging usually comes from the glue reaction between the two parts. Using the regular poly cement creates heat between the two parts which can be transferred to the canopy. The best method is to use extra thin superglue as this doesn't create a reaction to fuse the parts together. Place the canopy in, then use a piece of wire to apply a small droplet to each corner, the extra thin superglue should then find its way along the canopy join to the rest of the model. Hope this helps, good luck and thanks for watching :)
This video is amazing! Better than plasmo! Could do with a voice over tho! Feel free to check out my modelling channel
You have such good skills, pity one of then isn't talking, so we could hear what you are doing instead of listening to dreadful music. Great build
Thank you. It's a pity you're missing a skill too. If you'd had better research skills you'd know that my more recent videos have a nice voiceover on them, they have done for the past two years. Also the dreadful music is now gone and replaced with something more calm. Hope you can enjoy those :)
@@TheInnerNerd well, I don't spend all my time watching model making videos. Anyway, that is good news, thank you
