Kohl’s has this one too just like Bite in the Park. Color Blindness is just a part of you love 💕 but the orange stone is historically accurate especially for a mummy. Carnelian was used to ward off evil spirits and help guide the dead to the Underworld. The flower is the Egyptian lotus. The winged scarab represents the afterlife. The designers for Cleo do such an amazing job with all the Egyptian symbols & colors.
Loved this set, I found mine at a Ross, had to hunt her down and go to another state. Ordering from Macy's is a great alternative if you just cant find a Ross or they don't have one.
I've seen her at Ross actually. But imo, I'm not really enamored by it. Compared to her g1 set, it looks way to basic and the orange really off-puts me. The sculpting looks bare and I think having more filigree would've enchanced the set. Cleo herself looks okay. For me there's better Cleo's I want, so this unfortunately is a pass for me. I hooe you're doing good Angel btw💕. My week hasn't been kind to me but I hope yours has been. Watching your videos is always a treat for me❤️.
Goshhhh I adore dolls so much!!!! I've been watching your episodes Angel from LOL OMG dolls, RH but G3 MH really has lay down these potentials long before g3. The energy of every characters really radiates through us FANS no matter what,when or who hahaha. MH had built that belongingness to our young hearts that its just so impossible not to love them, regardless if it is budget or not. They hit to the bones💯 CLEO you are phenomenal I love you🙇♂️🙇♂️, your VILE to Soft VILE character development in g1 up to this day. You always glow like a gem. The only thing I like about this that the doll is pretty (mostly the shoes and her face) ; I'm glad it's articulated and not G2 budget, and the vanity has storage. Yes, orange is probably there to contrast against the blue.
i also hate going to ross 😩 i’ve only gone a few times looking for this set but it hit my sensory overstimulation buttons every time. i would’ve ordered from macy’s if i knew she was available there! but i finally gave up and bought the set on ebay for a surprisingly decent price and i think i shall open her up later today! 🎉 oh btw i believe the orangey red in cleo’s color scheme is meant to be a nod to carnelian, which iirc was an important gemstone for egyptian royalty. (but the orange in this set is definitely brighter than usual. 😬)
Cleo is usually given accents of lotus flowers or papyrus [PUH-PIE-RUS] fronds, both sacred plants to the ancient egyptians. Papyrus was used to make scrolls.
I just want to say that you’re too cute and your eye’s aren’t messed up! I know you’re color blind to some degree, but it must be pretty mild, because usually the color you describe is correct (maybe 80% - 90% of the time?) PLUS I usually agree with when you dislike a certain color on the doll/ outfit as a whole! Of course it’s personal preference, and we don’t always have the same irks or likes, but I actually think you have a heightened appreciation and awareness of color and tones, and a great instinct as to what looks good. With the orange, it’s not my fave either. They used it on Nefera in g1.

For a collector, that's just a casual MH collector. I wish they would do fashion packs. She's pretty, but I already have a G3 Cleo.
