And what do I do when I have a 12 year employment gap, mental health diagnosis, and a legal record that includes a drug related felony? I'm just being brutally honest here about what I'm working with.

I'm not sure what you want me to say. There is no easy solution to that. I would discuss your situation with a couple of recruiters and see what advice they give.

@@supplychainsecrets Thanks for the reply! I really don't know what to expect, but I want to learn more about supply chain work. I'm planning on speaking with some advisors at my local community college and at the career center there. There's a "purchasing and supply chain management" program I'm interested in. I guess the question is whether someone with my background can even hope to enter the industry or find gainful employment at all. Is it even possible or practicable?
I've been in college before and I have worked in science as a lab assistant (I have an AS in Biology) and also in the food service industry....but this was a long time ago. The idea of getting into the supply chain field came because a relative of mine said that its a versatile field that people of all levels can find meaningful work in (he's worked in this industry for most of his life, but I have yet to really talk to him or anything).
I'm just starting out again, trying to get back on my feet, after a long and difficult period of my life. I'm starting from scratch and it seems like I'm also coming from a place of being "behind the curve" relative to other people my age who have a solid work history.
Anyways, I'm rambling...thank you for posting these videos!

Thanks for the information on supply chain jobs.
Would appreciate if you could share specific details on extra qualifications for SCM which certifications courses are actually fulfilling practical requirements.
    Please comment.

From a Global perspective that's a really hard question, as there are so many courses and certificates available. And it depends on your role. APICS is always regarded though.

    hi chief .!!!
may I ask if I can have long path logistics career even if I just finished basic education (high school ) .?
like in our country Philippines .
they preferred papers over skills Ang knowledge .
I currently positioned as material planner they gave me that position cause they what I'm capable of base on my experience And my eagerness to learn but I don't know there's a right future ahead of of me in company since I just have low educational attainment .😔

You can certainly have a good career in Logistics without formal qualifications. But in most companies to reach middle and senior management positions will require some formal qualifications.
