@10:53 that is the crankcase vent, I also have a b20/aq130 and parts are hard to find and/or expensive. My engine seems to run fine so I am 100% avoiding tearing down the engine, just rebuilt the water pump and crossing my fingers. I am going to remove the oil pan to clean any junk that has settled in the pan but only because I will have all the stringers and bilge removed so I think this will be the only time I can get out easily

That makes sense! Putting off an engine build is always a good idea 😂 Those little maintenance things for sure will help! Also don’t leave your engine in the rain like the previous owners of this engine. Happy Thanksgiving!

@@DownToTheFrame I started my boat teardown back in the summer but put it on pause for a surgery/recovery, I just got back to the floor and foam removal today while waiting for turkey and discovered about 1/2 my transom is rotten. It all seemed fine but after the 3 months of drying out in my shop I saw all the bubbles and cracks on the inside of the transom, and the nice hallow sound it has now. Now I have a project as big as yours lol

Greetings from Spain! Congratulations on your work! I am restoring the same engine and a similar boat and you are my inspiration! In previous videos I have seen that you have a workshop manual for the volvo penta AQ130 engine, where can I find it?
Thank you very much and good cheer!

That’s So awesome to hear! Glad to have you here! Our manual is a SELOC manual. We got our copy from marineengine.com. Thank you for watching and please keep us updated on your build!

I've been rebuilding the same engine also- my engine is in a 73 Glastron. I have run into the same frustrations! Where did you get the felt ring and what is the part number? I cant seem to find it-Thanks.

Nice!!! This engine for sure gets frustrating. We get a lot of our parts from IPD USA. However, we might not need the felt ring... we just ordered an experimental part that might save us. Stay tuned for the next video and we will explain. Disappointed! A nice painted block and then you bolt old rusty parts back on. Shame!
