The harness that came with my light have 3 wires. Black, red, and purple. I have watch your video and others trying to understand the correct placement of wires. Black is the ground, you have the red going to a yellow/ white wire for signals? My understanding the purple is for the puddle lights and what wire color would I connect to. Truck is a 06 Dodge ram and everything is done except the finial wiring to power.
I followed it right up until you threaded the light wires thru the rubber. My vehicle end of the rubber has a hard plastic housing a cpl of harnesses with all the wires to the door components harnessed into. 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 quad
Hi i have 2009 Ram 1500 4.7 and i want to put 2 mirrors with the signal lights future on my mirrors i have heated and power to move the mirrors but not signal light what do you recommend?😊
good video, but why not simply stack both ground wires under one single eyelet, and tap your. power from inside the cab rather then puncturing the brake cable gromet for a power source where it will be near the elements of weather? just wondering what your reasoning was. not trying to pick your video apart, just had to ask.
+gshffr Sometimes it's hard to stuff two wires into an eyelet connector. If you move up to the next size then the eyelet becomes too big for the bolt. Going to the connector to tap for power is the quickest and easiest place to find the wire with good easy access.
@@1AAuto thank you for the reply. I wouldn’t even know how to go about that. I’m going to take it to a dodge dealership to see if they can help me out with doing that. Thank you.
What if you want to install the mirrors with out the turn signal built into it, do you still have to wire up stuff or can it just clip into the old wiring and bolt on and just work with the power to move the mirror and the heat?
+zack nelson You would just install them without the additional wiring for the turn signal. They should work as long as all the other features match your originals. 1aauto.com
+PoisonxZero89 If the truck came from the factory with the turn signal function on the mirrors, it should be a plug and play install for you. If your truck did not come from this function, you may have to have the dealer install a sales code to enable this function. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com
I have a 2003 dodge ram and i did all the steps that follow in the video but once i get to the wiring it is different because the wire is a different color from the one in the video which wire would it be for a 2003
Reckless_ Mike i have a 2003 also but I have no clue which ones it is, but I need to find someone to do the wiring for me, I have no clue what I’m doing
I have the mirrors and was wondering if there was any way to wire for both running and turn signals kinda like the bonkers do ? if not is there a circuit I could build ?
Ok could you tell what I did wrong I followed every step to install my mirrors wired everything up they light up but when I put my signal light on they won't blink.
which mirrors should I use for my 07 1500 i want the turn signal option and my mirrors are currently heated. would the install be the same as this video?
+EqXHyPnOtIc The only difference between what you want to do and the procedure shown in this video is that we opted for running lights instead of turn signals. So between 9 and 12 minutes in the video we show you how to splice the wire into the running lights circuit. You'll follow that same process, except you'll need to figure out which wire on the harness on the undercarriage is for the turn signals. A good wiring diagram should help with this. Otherwise it's the same exact process assuming you're using our parts. Might not be the same with different brand mirrors. +Joey Richardson Thanks for checking us out! This video was filmed in 2 segments, one was before the wiring portion and the other was during the wiring portion. If you look at about 11:00 mark, you can see the new mirrors on the truck. The ending segment was shown and filmed before the wiring was done with the new mirrors.
+suzuki rider We currently do not sell it separately. The tow mirror kits that do require this as an upgrade come with the wire leads to get the function to work. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com
ok thank you the one I ordered didn't come with much wire only on the mirror and nothing from there but I will figure something out thanks again for the reply
Thank you for checking out our video. Yes, the tow mirrors show in this video also include heat. They are power, heated, with turn signals. Here's a link to them on our website. We also include free shipping in the US and these mirrors also have a lifetime warranty on them. Hope this helps you out www.1aauto.com/dodge-mirror-pair/i/1amrp00908?RUclips&CTA%20Comment&ATony

I literally said the same thing

could it be so they function as blinkers as well as running lights
Thanks for the video. I have a 2008 dodge. Only with power mirrors. Could I still get the blinker light to work and puddle lamps to work?
+xenos214 Thanks for watching! You would have to wire in those options to get them to work.

I have a 2008 Dodge Ram I don't like my original mirrors I'm trying to upgrade them to some nicer newer style mirrors what do you recommend ?

zack nelson I’m about to be doing that exact thing how did it turn out?
im sure you just dont use the LED wires.
+zack nelson You would just install them without the additional wiring for the turn signal. They should work as long as all the other features match your originals. 1aauto.com
Are any of those wires turn signal wires on the clip under the cab
How long are the wires. Is there enough wire to run them up to the turn signal bulbs up front
i need the two wire hardness portion where can i find that particular one or the name of it
What wires in the connectors would you have to tap for the lights to function as turn signals?? I have a 07

my truck doesn't have a heating option for the mirrors. would I need that in order to install?
+Enrique Torres Yes, you would need to install it as an aftermarket. 1aauto.com?RUclips&CTA%20Comment&ATony 866-403-3393

+qBMOp I believe that they can only be wired one one circuit.
Ok could you tell what I did wrong I followed every step to install my mirrors wired everything up they light up but when I put my signal light on they won't blink.
Because u wired them for parking/running light. Different wire for blinkers pal
Are these heated and Power adjustable?

my 2002 ram does not have a white/yellow wire, which other wire might I use for turn signals?
Why did you put the old mirrors back on 😆

do you sale the blinker wire seperately and if so how much does it cost for a set ? thank you

Could hardwiring my 1A tow mirrors on my 2014 ram work like this since flashing the codes doesn't work for these mirrors?
How do you do this for a 2008 Ram that has an actual center console ?
+XzLeviathanzX It should be the same procedure as shown in this video.
I have an 03 and there is no white with yellow wire
Why not tap into the back of headlight switch since your right there. Going under the truck is too much an unneeded.

Would this mirrow fit my 2006 dodge dakota 6 speed manual ?
