This video will detail how to install your Boost Auto Parts towing mirrors onto your 2009-2018 Dodge Ram 1500 or 2010-2018 Ram 2500/3500. This is for Boost Auto Parts Dodge tow mirrors with our DIY Power Fold Upgrade Kit (for vehicles not originally equipped with power fold). If you have Boost Auto Parts 2009-2018 Dodge Ram 1500 or 2010-2018 Ram 2500/3500 tow mirrors without our DIY Upgrade Kit (manual fold, or your original mirrors had power fold) please reference a separate video. This video includes tow mirrors with running light and signal. The video covers the mirror mounting as well as the wiring for all of the lighting features. All of the parts featured in this video are available from Boost Auto Parts including the mirrors with a variety of options including turn signal, running light, switchback (white running light, amber signal).
These mirrors fit 4th generation 2009 2010 2011 2012 2013 2014 2015 2016 2017 2018 Dodge Ram 1500 Trucks (including EcoDiesel) as well as 4th generation 2010 2011 2012 2013 2014 2015 2016 2017 2018 Dodge Ram 2500 3500 Trucks (including Cummins diesel).

Very detailed install instructions, everything went great until in came time to mount the switch. I have a 2017 Rebel and there is something behind that panel above the parking brake release. The entire area behind the panel is blocked so I have to figure out an alternative place to mount the switch. Other than that, they look & work great. Feels good to not have to reach out the window in the winter to pull my mirror in when I enter the garage.
Thanks for the feedback - I will share that with the development team. The placement of the switch is not overly critical, as there should be some extra slack in the harnesses to change the mounting point.
I wish I could get this retrofit for the 88-99 Chevy or gmc trucks
I have power mirrors already and 1 of mine stop working. I want to replace and put these mirrors on both side. Is this a plug and play go if I order these with no extra hooking up wires. I mean it should just plug right in like my old and should work fine? Is that correct?

Yes, through one of the rubber grommets.
Will these work on the 2019 new gen ram 1500 too, or do you have lots for them?
We do not currently have any for the 2019 New Generation Ram. They are under development and should be available within the next 6 months.
If my truck already has power folding mirrors, can I buy these tow mirrors and plug and play them without any problems?
Yes, as long as you configure the mirrors properly and state you originally had power fold.
I have a question : can we change the mirrors/doors/Windows control switch of the 2009 dodge ram with the one of the 2013 dodge ram so that i can have the power folding button integrated
So i Wonder if that work with this installation ?
That is not possible on vehicles older than 2013.

I have a 4th gen 2500 SLT cummins and dont have power mirrors. Theyre the smaller ones and theyre manual mirros but I want to convert them to tow mirrors. Can I put these kind of mirrors on or do I have to buy the manual tow mirrors? Great content by the way. This video really helps
Can you adjust the glass itself from a switch in the cab?
If I replace the current switch on the driver and passenger side door with a switch that has the power folding button, will it work for these mirrors ?
No - you can't simply replace the door switch there is further work that would be required.

Thanks for the video. Do you have an installation option where I don't have to hook up to the fuse box? Maybe get power from inside the cab area? I have a 2014 Ram 3500. Also, how long would install be for a non-mechanic but handy installer?
There is not an alternative tap location in the cab. Installation for a non-mechanic with the power fold retrofit would likely be 3-5 hours.

Is there an option for a more OEM switch ?
We will be releasing an upgrade that utilizes the OEM switch within the next 60 days (writing this on 3/21/22 for future reference). Email sales@boostautoparts.com and ask to be notified when the wireless power fold upgrade for 09-18 Ram's is released and our team can email you when it's out.

This will work for 2017 Ram 2500 Tradesman.
Does it work on a 2009 dodge ram laramie ?
This video will be relevant if it is a 2009 1500. If it's a 2500/3500 it would be a different video to follow.
