I think Prize Picks might just be being strategic with their marketing. I hate this term but the "Urban" market that the JBP appeals to probably MOSTLY watches NFL and NBA. Between the NBA Finals and the start of the NFL season, there is kind of a drought in sports. Depending on how Prize Picks pays, maybe they fall back during the slow sports seasons? The Prize Picks ads are already annoying. Who wants to hear Parks, Ice and Joe act like they watch MLB?

Almost tired of saying this but ad free podcasting is impossible and as a creator why would you attempt to offer your audience uninterrupted content without a paid subscription. Joe sounds like he’s doing an admirable thing for his fans but ultimately he’s not in this space as a hobby and maximizing your income has to be first and foremost. Joe is not a marketing genius or didn’t go to school for advertising matter of fact he dropped out of school period and so did NORE but at least NORE let Lyor handle his business and get him the bag.
