@@MarkBryanRC Thank goodness I commented in time! Black windows are the bane of the RC world, especially black windscreens and front side windows. They look awful! When the Traxxas TRX4 came out I couldn't believe they had the nerve to supply the Defender body (yawn - so unimaginative!) with those dreadful black windows. Think how much lovelier your beautiful Escort body would be with nice proper windows. Even without an interior it'll look so much better. After all, my Morris Minors - all 3 of them - have no interior, and they'd look awful with nasty black windows!

I love the Morris Minor. Those things ran forever and easy to fix. Wish modern cars were styled like that. This would be great as a rally car ,I still see them in Australia once in while . That escort has been well used but should look great with the new body. Wife saw your rally cars now she wants to buy one. You have some great stuff coming up on the channel and can't wait. Great update Mark, you should do more of these as and when the need arises. So many different projects - you have your work cut out mate, in a good way of course. That Morris Minor Lunchbox shell is so, so cool, a comedy RC just got funnier. I'm really looking forward to see what you do with that one. The beauty of having multiple shells for one chassis is that it's like running an entirely new RC when you switch the shell. It's a trick I often use. For me the star of this show ( Agrios aside, as you didn't really cover it ) was the Ford Cosworth. That's gonna look so mint with it's new shell and decals. Looking forward to that one immensely. It will certainly feel like a brand new RC when completed. Excellent video and a fascinating insight into some of your future projects. Cool....😎👍🏻👍🏻. Keep safe pal.

just finishing one of kamtecs banger bodies ,the cadillac limo for a tamiya madbull ,looks and fits great ,done her in two tone in tamiya metallic green with a gold roof then im gonna do some lace laying on the roof like the 70's low riders had ,and some chrome trim ,makes it look like a caddy monster truck, also using the wild willy chrome wheels ,oh and you got me to buy 2 tt02's, ive done one in the escort cosworth pilot scheme ,and one into the late great Henri Toivanen's RAC winning Lotus sunbeam ,got them shells from L&L models .

So many cool things! I've gone for that same Kamtec escort for my xv01- I was going to ask you about fitting the tail, but I see you've got the real one! Lexan version is a bit of a job - I spent ages trimming them down, trying not to cut too much off, but haven't really figured out a good way to attach them. Some people seem to just bolt them on... I couldn't find hard plastic versions with my quick google either. Are they just not available? Was wondering about repro stickers too. I hadn't even clocked the kamtec ones lack the window surrounds, because I've kind of stalled on this one! Might have to get some like yours so it doesn't look weird. Hi Steve - Yeah that lexan tail looks a bit fiddly! You are gonna struggle looking for the original tail as it went out of production decades ago, and will cost a bomb if you do find one! The lexan one should bolt on using the anchor points on the main body. You should have a post for the middle with the body kit. I did think about making the window surrounds, but went for the easy option when I found the sticker kit. Check out rcdecals.co.uk. they do a few different sets for the Escort Turbo. Oh yes, lots of stuff going on here, just gotta get it all started, yet alone finished! Cheers, mate! :O)
Hi Mark, great looking RC. The Ford Escort is such a good looking body. I like the bug body as well. Instead of applying the stickers would you ever consider a multi-color paint scheme using an airbrush or hand painting? Taping off all the different areas would be time intensive but look really cool. I used to hand paint the details on my tamiya TA03 touring car bodies. They held up to racing and banging around the track but eventually the lexan would crack and break before the paint peeled. I miss those days 😀

Not sure I would categorize you as “lazy”. I’m thinking your tutorial subs want to see you lay down the decals. I saw on Asiatees a Carisma MK2 Escort rally 1/24th scale. I’m tempted to pick up a couple but hard to justify $139 each. I should save and get 1/10 rally cars instead.

Hope this helps anyone wanting to do any of the Escorts Tamiya did.MCI decals in Canada,you cut them out just like the originals,L&L Models in the UK for the shell,comes with 3d printed separate upper and lower wings,and the rear bumper is the correct shape.

Hiya matey. That was a most enjoyable roundup of your projects. Looks like you've got plenty to keep you busy for quite a while. I saw Mr Smith today for RC related fun which was great apart from the weather being more like February than July. Funnily enough we were talking about my TA-01 and the fact that I've done nothing with it. I really need to go through and update the electronics and put bearings in. I could use my Subaru shell on it. I'm still not sure about running that pristine cosworth shell I've got as it might be worth something (possibly less now that Kamtec make it). Cool to get that Morris Minor shell for your lunchbox. Pete was a new Anglia shell painted up like Vivian's one with the flames down the side. Nice to see your thoughts on the kamtech neo scorcher shell. Iv fancied getting one for some time as I just don't like the custom paint scheme on mine. Their 1/12 shells are awesome as well iv got the moggy van on a LB. Iv got a hand full off 1/12 hot rod chassis. Great fun for running round my local tennis courts with some mates

I did have the Mk2 Escort Harrier at one stage, but when I wanted to go for the RS versions, the insurance companies always replied ‘ yeah son, when you’re older!’ 😆😆. One car I did miss, was the Ford Capri 3.0 Ghia, that was a real cruiser ! Loved that to bits with its 3.0 V6. Always wanted the 2.8i Capri, but wasn’t able to source one. I did have eventually the Peugeot 205 GTI 1.9 version, boy was that fast, blew my previous Fiesta XR2 away. Oh those were the days. Looking forward to seeing the master creation in due course. nice job mate ,but ive used rc decals ,i bought their rough rider decals. but after one run they bled and discoloured and the face peeled off to find they were inkjet prints on paper covered with thin vinyl we were making decals like that nigh on 30 years ago from magazine cuttings covered with stickey back vinyl and double sided tape .

I was a teenager in the 90s and I reckon if I was lucky and could combine Christmas and birthday together I could have stretched to a tamiya escort cosworth, a real escort cosworth was just a fantasy, fast forward 20 odd years and I like to think I could get a tamiya escort cosworth as a birthday treat, as for a real escort cosworth I think I was closer to it when I was a teenager, I can’t believe the prices of them now !
Well, my friend, I can tell you I was in my thirties in the nineties and still needed to save up for the Cossie! But I know exactly what you mean. Tamiyas were and still are relatively expensive - but the real Cosworth? Totally out of my reach, then and now! But I still dreamed about having the real thing, what a beautiful performance car. Hi - not sure about any hop-ups to increase steering, but you can leave out part D15 that gives more steering lock. You can also shave some plastic off the steering stops on the uprights - parts A1. Yeah, I think you are right, plenty of spaces around to run an off road car or buggy. Harder to find a decent open space to run a road car clear of other folk!

I love the Morris Minor. Those things ran forever and easy to fix. Wish modern cars were styled like that. This would be great as a rally car ,I still see them in Australia once in while . That escort has been well used but should look great with the new body. Wife saw your rally cars now she wants to buy one. You have some great stuff coming up on the channel and can't wait. Great update Mark, you should do more of these as and when the need arises. So many different projects - you have your work cut out mate, in a good way of course. That Morris Minor Lunchbox shell is so, so cool, a comedy RC just got funnier. I'm really looking forward to see what you do with that one. The beauty of having multiple shells for one chassis is that it's like running an entirely new RC when you switch the shell. It's a trick I often use. For me the star of this show ( Agrios aside, as you didn't really cover it ) was the Ford Cosworth. That's gonna look so mint with it's new shell and decals. Looking forward to that one immensely. It will certainly feel like a brand new RC when completed. Excellent video and a fascinating insight into some of your future projects. Cool....😎👍🏻👍🏻. Keep safe pal.

just finishing one of kamtecs banger bodies ,the cadillac limo for a tamiya madbull ,looks and fits great ,done her in two tone in tamiya metallic green with a gold roof then im gonna do some lace laying on the roof like the 70's low riders had ,and some chrome trim ,makes it look like a caddy monster truck, also using the wild willy chrome wheels ,oh and you got me to buy 2 tt02's, ive done one in the escort cosworth pilot scheme ,and one into the late great Henri Toivanen's RAC winning Lotus sunbeam ,got them shells from L&L models .

So many cool things! I've gone for that same Kamtec escort for my xv01- I was going to ask you about fitting the tail, but I see you've got the real one! Lexan version is a bit of a job - I spent ages trimming them down, trying not to cut too much off, but haven't really figured out a good way to attach them. Some people seem to just bolt them on... I couldn't find hard plastic versions with my quick google either. Are they just not available? Was wondering about repro stickers too. I hadn't even clocked the kamtec ones lack the window surrounds, because I've kind of stalled on this one! Might have to get some like yours so it doesn't look weird. Hi Steve - Yeah that lexan tail looks a bit fiddly! You are gonna struggle looking for the original tail as it went out of production decades ago, and will cost a bomb if you do find one! The lexan one should bolt on using the anchor points on the main body. You should have a post for the middle with the body kit. I did think about making the window surrounds, but went for the easy option when I found the sticker kit. Check out rcdecals.co.uk. they do a few different sets for the Escort Turbo. Oh yes, lots of stuff going on here, just gotta get it all started, yet alone finished! Cheers, mate! :O)
Hi Mark, great looking RC. The Ford Escort is such a good looking body. I like the bug body as well. Instead of applying the stickers would you ever consider a multi-color paint scheme using an airbrush or hand painting? Taping off all the different areas would be time intensive but look really cool. I used to hand paint the details on my tamiya TA03 touring car bodies. They held up to racing and banging around the track but eventually the lexan would crack and break before the paint peeled. I miss those days 😀

Not sure I would categorize you as “lazy”. I’m thinking your tutorial subs want to see you lay down the decals. I saw on Asiatees a Carisma MK2 Escort rally 1/24th scale. I’m tempted to pick up a couple but hard to justify $139 each. I should save and get 1/10 rally cars instead.

Hope this helps anyone wanting to do any of the Escorts Tamiya did.MCI decals in Canada,you cut them out just like the originals,L&L Models in the UK for the shell,comes with 3d printed separate upper and lower wings,and the rear bumper is the correct shape.

I saw Mr Smith today for RC related fun which was great apart from the weather being more like February than July. Funnily enough we were talking about my TA-01 and the fact that I've done nothing with it. I really need to go through and update the electronics and put bearings in. I could use my Subaru shell on it. I'm still not sure about running that pristine cosworth shell I've got as it might be worth something (possibly less now that Kamtec make it). Cool to get that Morris Minor shell for your lunchbox. Pete was a new Anglia shell painted up like Vivian's one with the flames down the side. Their 1/12 shells are awesome as well iv got the moggy van on a LB. Iv got a hand full off 1/12 hot rod chassis. Great fun for running round my local tennis courts with some mates

@@cw-01creations46 it's off white kind of creamy. I did some custom water transfer decals for it so it needed to be white ish. And they looked awesome. Looked being the key word, because to colour have now bled in to each other. So thinking of striping it back now and going for a pastel green

I did have the Mk2 Escort Harrier at one stage, but when I wanted to go for the RS versions, the insurance companies always replied ‘ yeah son, when you’re older!’ 😆😆. One car I did miss, was the Ford Capri 3.0 Ghia, that was a real cruiser ! Loved that to bits with its 3.0 V6. Always wanted the 2.8i Capri, but wasn’t able to source one. I did have eventually the Peugeot 205 GTI 1.9 version, boy was that fast, blew my previous Fiesta XR2 away. Oh those were the days. Looking forward to seeing the master creation in due course. nice job mate ,but ive used rc decals ,i bought their rough rider decals. but after one run they bled and discoloured and the face peeled off to find they were inkjet prints on paper covered with thin vinyl we were making decals like that nigh on 30 years ago from magazine cuttings covered with stickey back vinyl and double sided tape .

I was a teenager in the 90s and I reckon if I was lucky and could combine Christmas and birthday together I could have stretched to a tamiya escort cosworth, a real escort cosworth was just a fantasy, fast forward 20 odd years and I like to think I could get a tamiya escort cosworth as a birthday treat, as for a real escort cosworth I think I was closer to it when I was a teenager, I can’t believe the prices of them now !
Well, my friend, I can tell you I was in my thirties in the nineties and still needed to save up for the Cossie! But I know exactly what you mean. Tamiyas were and still are relatively expensive - but the real Cosworth? Totally out of my reach, then and now! But I still dreamed about having the real thing, what a beautiful performance car. Do you by any chance know of a hop-up kit, or other tips to help increase maximum steering angle on the Tamiya TT02?
Hi - not sure about any hop-ups to increase steering, but you can leave out part D15 that gives more steering lock. You can also shave some plastic off the steering stops on the uprights - parts A1. I think I cover some of these mods in this video:

Cheers, Ian - yes, the width and wheelbase of the XV01 is the same as the TT02 and the TA01.2, so the bodies should fit fine! :O)

Oh, so you came across the company as well, Steve? The stickers / decals look very good quality, but we will see when we apply them just how good they are. I'll definitely review them as part of the body shell build. I assume the postage was expensive for you, so where in the world are you? It was about £2.50 postage to the UK. @@MarkBryanRC I did...I figured there would be unused Tamiya kit decals available but I'm surprised how rare they seem.
Will see how you like them but don't think I will bother...putting $50 worth of decals on a $60 car body really defeats the purpose for me .

Hmmm... that's a hard one! TBH we are usually pretty even, but when Alf is trying really hard he tends to win by hook or by crook (usually meaning a bit of body contact!) Sorry, don't have any open wheeled racers... at the moment! 👍😃

Yeah, I think you are right, plenty of spaces around to run an off road car or buggy. Harder to find a decent open space to run a road car clear of other folk!

Hi Rex - yes, I have had most of my recent comments go missing on other channel's videos, too! I'm getting very annoyed about it, I watch a lot of videos and always try to leave a friendly and positive comment. the fact that this effort is not seen by the friends that I support is very distressing. Glad that you at least know that I watched and tried. Wish I knew what was going on! :-/

Absolutely, Rex! I always prefer to trim them myself. The less clear plastic around the decal, the better it looks! :))
