    Sir, C is the maximum speed limit in this universe, what can be the minimum speed limit achievable in this universe, as we may be on rest on earth, the earth is still moving in solar system , the solar system is moving in galaxy and galaxies are also in motion. ( Can any thing be at rest relative to this universe??)

      All motion is relative. There is not absolute frame of reference.

      @@dilshadp9189 what about the higgs field? Not trying to be contrary, motion relative to the higgs field always confused me. Are the higgs boson that make it up traveling relative to us? If the higgs field is what causes an object to have gravity, and bends when an object is around the higgs boson, does that mean that the higgs field is the "space-time" we talk about being warped by gravitational bodies? Does the curve of the higgs field effect the linear motion of particles?

    In the language of linear algebra, c (45 degree diagonal rays on a 2D spacetime diagram) are the eigenvectors of the Lorentz transformation: Any change of velocity from frame 1 to frame 2 is a Lorentz transformation (aka Lorentz boost) and the (spatial) velocity of c is its eigenvector meanings, it remains invariant under frame-to-frame boosts;

    How long would it seem to take to travel to a star that is one light year relative to the relative speed of earth to both the observer on earth and the observer that's traveling to that star near the speed of light? Would the star seem to get infinitely farther away as you approach the speed of light?

      put any value grater than c in time dilation formula ,, then calculate throughout ,, you'll get that you travelled past in time i.e., final time < initial time

    if we chase the light from earth, then the speed will not be the same. Because if you chase light which is moving through a medium , then it's velocity will not be 'C'. However the decrease in its velocity will be different from that expected by Newtonian physics.
