I remember realizing on my own that if an object is at rest, then it has something like a "speed" in time of c, and as the spatial speed increases, the temporal speed decreased. I was very proud of that.

Please never lose the blackboard. I have found that being able to track the previous equations while you talk about the current equations is indispensible to understanding. You are the best science communicator I've seen, but the fact that you keep most of the equations visible as you carefully explain each one is a boon. Trying to follow other science communicators I have found to be difficult because they move from equation to equation, each as its own title card, and I get lost. (I have ADHD.)

Thank you for posting this!!! I slipped through about half of this trying to find a particular point and skimmed through things along the way. Those tidbits coincide with what I was trying to figure in my head the other night.
More importantly, suddenly the book I read circa middle school by Kaufman suddenly makes sense! He referred to diagrams and such with Gaussian curvature and more or less dropped it past positive vs negative curvature. Parts of his stuff never made sense to me.
Now that I see this, and seeing exactly where at least parts of this fits into Einstiens field equations, now I can make mathematical sense out of this and see why the Gaussian curvature is used in astrophysics and related fields!
Case and point where some go into every last uber formal theory and never show you how to do the problem. The way you write it, you get the theory, problem and application in one sensible shot.
    Thank you!!!
