Experiencing Jerry play with the JGB was always pure joy ~ The baggage of the GD wasn't present, it was just Jerry doing what he loved to do, groovin' with some of the best musicians in the galaxy...So playful and bouncy...always brings a smile to my face. Thanks for the amazing selection! Peace...
I've been so lucky to have seen JGB and the Dead many times when he was alive. There will never be anybody like Jerry - he just had a way of making magic at will. The world hasn't been the same since his demise.
Jerry's so underrated as a guitarist in the bs main stream politically charged atmosphere that the music industry clings so tightly too smh. Yea Jerry's the best imo, but the GD suits decide that John mayer is good enough too cover Jerry's parts/ nuisances etc.. John does not come from this scene or background. Its all so weird. Or maybe it's all about selling tickets to the younger folks.... lol " Jerry... The world would be a better place if you were still around.." NFA brother!!!
dedicate your life to someone you never met, no matter how hard fight it, Poppy im still in love with you! T minus 3 days and counting! miss u old man... great audio listen up!!!!
I spent many many many hours in my teens dancing at Jerry's feet in Winterland, always got right up front and always danced the whole time..some of the best memories of my life!...nobody gives ya the boogiechills like Jerry!
Respect the man, love the man, the man knew his stuff, anything bad said about Jerry is pure jelousy, envy, etc. The man played unique music style, no one else like Jerry!
I went to many Dead shows from the 70's through the 90's, and loved every one of them. Sometime the band was on, and sometimes not, but it was always a good time. For me, seeing the JGB was special. A smaller, lower-key event, but pure distilled Jerry-ness!
One of my favorites of all time Jerry just dosist so well my microphone doesn't do me justice but Jerry does the song Long you could never play this song long enough for me
I love the fact that the other soloists are so in Fan-dom they need a few seconds to begin their part because they are so enthralled in Jerry's guitar.
This is one of me and my baby girl Shawnie Lightnings songs...loved it the day she played it for me when she made her first trip cross country for us to finally be together...very special to us
Jerry's playing is outstanding here. 93 his health was slipping a bit again after having been in great shape, for Garcia, in 89/90. Always tremendous when I come across these later era clips when Garcia is locked in and tearing it up, because sadly he had his well documented struggles and could be very lackluster in this time period. Seems with the Garcia band he delivered more often than not though
this warfield show was My LAST JGB Show ............... (My Last GD show was the summer Giants Stadium Show 1995... sad ;-( ) I moved back to New Jersey from Davis CA at the end of 93 I loved the warfield - it was like being in Jerry's basement or living room or backyard - hard to explain the difference between it and other venues....
Good catch. 4/23/93 was the Warfield. The vid, setlist and my ticket say so too. Guess I was thinking about good times from the Orpheum shows in late 80s when posting. :)
he`s never lost when he`s playin` doesn`t matter what kind of music.
There is no guitarist out there like him. RIP Jerry, miss you!
"don't cry because it's over. smile because it happened."
Smile, smile, smile
yes, its sad he's gone, but we can all agree: we will never let his music die.

Best guitar player to live so far. Wouldn't be surprised if it will always stay that way
It will, no one touches Jerry

Jerry's chops were cookin!
Like a master chef!
Respect the man, love the man, the man knew his stuff, anything bad said about Jerry is pure jelousy, envy, etc.
The man played unique music style, no one else like Jerry!
no kidding, he looks wounded but his playing is on point! nice, thanks for putting it up!
I totally didn't expect this to blow my mind

🤗💞💃⚡🔥👅
oh man, if the walls of The Warfield could talk! That place was The Cathedral!
I love the fact that the other soloists are so in Fan-dom they need a few seconds to begin their part because they are so enthralled in Jerry's guitar.
He never cared about playing billions of notes, he had a very special way of communicating music
Nothing beats Jerry Band at the Warfield!
It's just the jumpiest and happiest groove ever. Wondering if he's on the spike during this era?
I was there with my best friend.....now wife... that's what love can do....
This is one of me and my baby girl Shawnie Lightnings songs...loved it the day she played it for me when she made her first trip cross country for us to finally be together...very special to us
Amazing ! I was an Usher at the Warfield for many years and saw almost every JGB show there from 89-93. Thanks for sharing :)
This whole show is sick - Jerry is ON FIRE!
The Maestro
The person who took this video should get the Medal of Freedom
Good years - in my opinion. The black shirt and "fuck it" sweatpants. He was the balls. As we all know - these boys could PLAY.
+wuss81 haha! the "fuck it" sweatpants! funny shit man! I fucking love this song!!
Best concert I ever went to was Jerry Garcia Band at the Warfield Theater 1/16/95. Jerry & the band & the audience were off the hook!
No show on 1/16
It was 1/13, 1/14 and 1/15
unbelievable. Speechless. Thank you for sharing!
band im in covered this the other night, went down so good, love the way legion did it

Some of Jerry's best playing
Rosebud sounds sweet...Jerry you're the best cause that is what love will make you do
The long guitar solo after he added the effect is the most perfect guitar solo I've ever seen or heard.
Just awsome!!! God I miss the Kahn/Gracia Band
Goosebumps. I wish I could go back and get a good night of JERRY in again. I miss him. Chris
not a day goes by that I dont listen to this song. Seals + Garcia = fire.
This is so happening, Garcia performing with unusually extra gusto here!!!

this warfield show was My LAST JGB Show ............... (My Last GD show was the summer Giants Stadium Show 1995... sad ;-( ) I moved back to New Jersey from Davis CA at the end of 93

Looks like fun, the reason why I love the JGB is the song selection, and the spin on everyone of them

Baby, i am still in love with YOU! And you know it too!
@CptMystery Great quote I have never heard !!!!!
Happy birthday Jerry!!
just another night in the city
Anyone recall the show JGB played That's what love will make you do, he had a saxaphone player, I recall his name is Macieo Parker. Real snappy jazzy.
+Bill Fogel I'm unaware of Maceo Parker ever having performed with Jerry Garcia. Martin Fierro performed with Legion of Mary with Garcia.
You are mistaken.
It may have been David Murray or Clarence CLEMMONS.
'93 > off Dead tour > JGB > '95. Killer Kahn at the Spaceship. There wasn't anything much gorgeous than a long and heartfelt "Shining Star" damn!
bravo Jerry!!!
Killer version
Why did he have to die... so much soul to this man, wish I could have experienced it
when i see you stroll i lose my self control
that's what love will make you do.
His guitar playing was consistenly hot throughout '93. His last consistent year - for the guitar playing, anyway.
This cat and his homies just killed that track dead 🤣
pretty good for 93
miss him still
Notice jer bending them strings, with age comes grace
Jerry at a Bonfire in the yard would be cool....what a gentle soul.....as long as were wishing give me the Lottery too....:>)...Peace
I got to sit with Bob Weir at a bonfire a month after Jerry died
not sure how you can't like that!
boogie chills!! all ova
SMOKING PERFORMANCE!
❤❤
hope you made it through
I LOVE ROSEBUD!!!
No matter how hard I fight it
