I played this game basically every day for years and I can tell you that basically one full field CPU touchdown per game is unavoidable since there’s so few players on the field.
Best way to beat a defensive gamebreaker is to stay on the sideline. That way if they hit you the Fumble goes Out of Bounds, rendering the Gamebreaker poitless.
Or you could do long bullet passes then switch to the receiver and dive to catch the ball, thats how me and my brother would beat them

@@iGaveLiaHIVright but he still needed the 2 point conversion to win it, generally game breakers are not helpful for short passing plays which is what he needed to do to win on the PAT. Much better play would have been to save the game breaker in case he failed the PAT, then he could use a defensive game breaker which is basically a guaranteed win at that point. Using the game-breaker on the PAT was just way too unnecessary/risky in this situation

Some try-hard hacks I remember:
Hold style button (left trigger) to strong tackle. Increases fumble chance (especially if they're taunting), but more risky
Weight actually matters in this game; unlike he who should be named lol
When you blitz, have 3 lineman (The middle lineman should auto to be your QB), frees up the blitzing back nearly every time. CPU doesn't make adjustments
Pump fake on the Hitch and Go play frees up the WR
Game breaker be like " Go crazy ahhhhh, go stupid ahhhhh, go crazy, go stupid ahhhhh"

I remember there being some fuckin' nearly impossible challenge scenarios in this game. Taking over 100 attempts to complete some of them was the best thing ever. Great game.

How does drew not know who Aeneas Williams and Garrison Hearst are? Hearst went #2 in the draft I believe, and had a long career. Williams was one of the best db's of his era and made many pro bowls.
