This seems like the perfect place to ask I’ve been thinking about this for a while now. Seeing as how the warp reflects ideas and emotions and then twists them due to being super hell, and seeing how the Tau auxiliaries created a greater good warp entity. Is there theoretically a critical mass that the Genestealer Cults can reach before they spawn a warp entity? While being connected to and influenced heavily by the hive mind the genestealer cults don’t directly worship the hive mind as they do ideas that either mirror, are analogous to, or reflect the hive mind. The cultists still have souls, Xenos tainted they may be but the Eldar are clear signs that humanity isn’t the only souls capable of spawning warp entities. I feel like everything I know about the warp points towards this but im really open to ideas about this. It’s also probably not a plot hook in a campaign I may or may not be running. What do you think fellow Scholars?
Seems possible in theory, but most Genestealer cults span only part of a planet. A system at max. I don't think, that's enough belief for a proper warp entity. Furthermore they are all part of a psychic network with their patriarch as the hub. Maybe the belief is siphoned of by the patriarch and this is why it is growing in size and developing psychic powers.
Excellent question. It’s my theory personally that there is purpose the gene cults beyond destabilization of planetary defenses. Faith has a real and tangible impact on psychic phenomena and the warp. Faith in the emperor as a god for example, is why the golden throne hasn’t fully broken down yet. Faith cultivated by a genestealer cult, faith in the so-called “four-armed emperor,” likely empowers the already massive psychic powers of the greater tyranid hive mind. And it has been observed that under the right conditions, tyranids can literally consume souls (the doom of malantai). So by cultivating billions and trillions of believers in the underbelly of imperial society, human souls and their collective faith in the star children enable the growth of the hive mind’s giga-soul just as the ravenous tendrils’ armies enable the physical growth of the swarm by consuming biomass. There is a 3rd player in the spiritual war between chaos and the imperials that may one day consume both sides just as it consumes them in the physical war.

Seems like most worlds could keep infections under control by making sure that they aren't alien abominations before issuing a birth certificate. By the way, you need to go to 40k Theories to defend your championship.
That idea wouldn't really work 'on the ground' (so to speak) in the 40K universe. The Imperium's level of control of its member worlds varies from planet to planet, but almost all of those worlds have underclasses, itinerants and fringe groups that are largely ignored by the authorities unless they cause obvious trouble. Birth certificates just aren't a thing for people who live in the more lawless sublevels of the underhives of worlds like Necromunda or in the peripheral wastelands of uncounted planets. The sheer scale and density of the population of many Imperial worlds makes strict control of the populous in the area of administrative compliance with things like censuses and birth and death certificates in day to day life wholly impractical. It is through this 'soft underbelly' that Imperial worlds are often infiltrated, and it is from those marginalised groups that the genetic contamination then spreads through the rest of society, slowly filtering into the more comprehensively surveilled and protected classes only after the cult has resources and influence enough to conceal its presence from even the most stringent examination. Even if you could somehow force every citizen on an Imperial world to submit all children born for genetic screening, that probably wouldn't work anyway. Any person infected by the Genestealer Kiss exists under the psychic sway of the Genestealer who infected them, a creature that has human like intelligence focussed solely on the successful infiltration of a target world. It would know from its victims' memories that such a system of examination existed, and so would suppress the immediate impulse of those it infects to procreate and would instead bide its time until it had a chance to start infecting, or dominating through its hypnotic psychic powers, those responsible for administering, overseeing and reviewing the tests to new born infants. Once a sufficient number of such officials are under its sway, it would be a simple business to fake or substitute results to create the impression that everything was fine even as the cult continued to insidiously spread unimpeded.

The cult limousine is still the best Warhammer vehicle. It's proper style when an armoured limousine out of a Heavy Metal cover rolls up and a squad of early-generation cultists pile out.
Question-How would a human genestealer cult and an ork "Green Brood" interact with each other? Would they fight, or given the chance, would they work together?
How many Tyranids did it take to destroy Halxion 4, a significant hive world with robust defenses and a significant orbital presence. A 100 billion, no a trillion, no 10 trillion, would all be the usual answers, and they would all be wrong. The answer is 1, it took 1 Tyranid to destroy Halxion 4. When asked how such a thing could be possible, you simply need to point at one creature, the genestealer.
I never knew that genestealer cultist became more indistinguishable the longer they were infected. I assumed that the 2nd and third generations became MORE genestealer like, growing the extra arms etc.
